I had received from a different auto repair shop an estimate saying my car needed new struts and shocks. Once I decided to have them do the work they came back and had to redo their estimate twice due to mistakes they made (it got more expensive each time).
I decided to look elsewhere then and went to Mcdermott’s based on positive online reviews.
They were friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. They looked at the car and test drove it. Then gave me a split estimate separating the shocks from the struts since they felt getting the rear shocks done now was most important. The struts did not need immediate repair and were safe to continue driving on. Their combined estimates were also substantially lower than the one i received from the other shop.
I had Mcdermott’s replace the rear shocks. They got my car in sooner than expected and the work completed earlier than I requested. The invoice also came in lower than their estimate as they found the shock mounts on my car did not need to be replaced.
The car drives great. It was a remarkable experience. I will definitely use Mcdermott’s for all future work on my car.
