I brought my Mercedes in for two things, check out inoperative ac and a pulsating in brakes. They charged my ac and said one of three three things were wrong with the air conditioner, but couldn’t tell me exactly what-still charge me $120.00 for that useless information. On the brakes, they quoted me 1,900.00 + to repair brakes (includes two diagnostic tests, brakes and ac). I passed on this expense and took it to another mechanic. All I needed was new rotors on the rear. The previous owner of this car replaced all shoes and the front rotors with the last 60 days. Total cost for said repair, $220.00. It appears that they (Monterey Auto never really checked the brakes, they relied on my comments and assumed everything needed to be replaced). I walked out with $325.00 less in my pocket and still had the same problems I walked into the door with.
