Buyer Beware
Took my Ford Sporttrac in for the AC and Oil Leaks in June 2018. Went there due to the good reviews and that they offered a two year warranty. I got a quote back for almost $1400, which included the AC repair, oil leak repair, repack wheel bearings, stabilizer bar control link, hood studs. AC is fixed and working great. When reassembling they put the gas line too close to a heat source resulting in a pin hole gas leak, fortunately we didn’t blow up and they fixed the leak. About 3 months later we moved into a new house and it wasn’t long before I noticed oil on the new concrete driveway. Now 45 minutes away, I was reluctant to return it under warranty, however recently did, which resulted in a new quote of $2161 which included additional oil leak repairs, control arm with ball joint, front wheel alignment, replace wheel bearings. So, the truck just started to leak oil in other places, and the control arms were good when they replaced the stabilizer control link, and the wheel bearings needed to be replaced when they were ok being repacked before. The only thing I know for sure is they fixed the AC. Did they do any of the other work; Do they pad the bill with additional unnecessary work, guess I will never know, but it sure looks suspicious to me. BTW they tightened and cleaned the value cover area under warranty as opposed to replacing the gaskets. Buyer beware.
