Dishonest/Lack of Integrity
Took my vehicle in for 2 recalls that needed completed. Since I was due for a state inspection I went ahead and had that scheduled to be done at the same appointment. I was told work would be done around 3/4pm. At 2pm I received a call that the inspection was failed due to fog lights and that they needed replaced. Both fog lights illuminated and were not cracked and per state code, pass. When I picked up my vehicle on the 'rejection' paperwork left in my passenger seat said it also failed for 'signals'. ALL turn signals and hazard are functional. All was confirmed and inspection passed when taken in for a second opinion at a different shop. I was told I'd receive a phone call when the recall work was complete. No call was ever received. I called and text the phone number that was provided in a text after I dropped off my vehicle and received NO response. I called the dealership to get ahold of the service department to find out that the work had been completed on my car for a while. I was also going to be charged for a rental car ($45/day) for the recall work to be completed. Note, I live 30+ minutes away from this location and waiting wasn't an option. I'm thankful that I had my husband follow me so I could get a ride home. I've never been charged for a 'loaner' 'rental' while RECALL work was completed. The lack of integrity and being dishonest in an attempt to upsell work while in on a recall is sickening.
