"My experience with Rte 1 Auto Service"
I think technicians at Rte 1 Auto service is quite competent, their workmanship is something I can recommend to others.
There was two problems thai I encounter: 1) The final bill was about $1,000 more than their initial quote. So there was a glaring gap between inital quote and the final
bill and that was nasty surprize. 2) After I picked up my truck, the interior of my truck just stunk with cigarette smoke odor. I do not smoke and am very sensitive to toxic substances and I have spent two days ventilating my truck and burned the candles inside in effort to get rid of the stench but it still smells. Actually whole place reeks of cigarette smoke odor the moment you walk in there. I don't know if the technician smoke inside my vehicle, but the in their working area, the cigarette smoke odor is extremely strong, so just my vehicle kept inside there while they worked on it could transfer the odor inside my truck. It is extremely rude of them to let this happen. Even though it is their business, they should never allow anyone to smoke insde the facility because the public and their cars are exposed to cigarette smoke odor. That is just unthinkable in this age. This bothered me much more than the price shock that I mentioned at 1).

Mr. Masayuki, I am so sorry you had a bad experience. As far as the cost, We did call you when we came against a frozen line at the steering rack, and we did advise you of the price. So, that being said that should not have been a surprise. When we estimate a job, we never know if a line is going to be frozen.  As far as the smell of cigarrettes, that is inexcusable and I will adress that problem immediately. I would be happy to pay to have the inside of your car detailed at your convenience.  Once again I do apologize for that problem, and will remedy it. I hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you.  Larry

"Another 5-star service at Route 1 Auto"
Our 2014 Toyota Camry Hybrid needed 40k service, according to schedule. Did not want to travel all the way to our dealer in Woburn and confront that hustle. We are remanding this car's care to Larry and Scott at Route 1, as we have been doing with our Subaru Forester for several years. This visit was routine service and was conducted thoroughly and on-time. Never can argue with these professionals. They do it right. If you don't want it done right, go somewhere else.
