Claiming double priced due to war
I have been going to this place for roughly a year, every other month for oil changes. I found them on Groupon. At first the price was $30, not bad so I bought 2, however when you use it, you must pay shop fees. My first time the shop fees were $11.97, still better than other places. Second time it $9.97 but the cashier was different. I decided to purchase 2 more at $35, the shop fees were $8.97 with a different cashier. I bought another one for $48, this time the cashier said it $20.97. When I questioned the increase, he said this was the normal price until I told him I have several receipts with $9 being the average. He said he could give it to me for $8.97, I told him I just wanted to know why the increase. It appeared he got upset and said I can give it to you for a one-time price of $9.97 but never again. I asked again about the increase, he then said it was due to the war. I told him that I got it, it's like Covid. He gave me a weird look. That will be my last time dealing with that company. Pretty sad how some will try to take advantage of any situation to mark up prices.
