blergh yuck ugh gross NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANY REASON
1) They had my car for almost four weeks after telling me it would take less than a week.

2) Then they told me one of the parts they needed to fix it was on back order.

3) So I picked up my car, paid for the work that had been done and the new part.

4) Then I picked up my son from school and put him in his car seat.

5) We were on our second stop before I realized that the mechanics at Tim Lally had unhooked the latch that secures the car seat to the back of the seat and unbuckled the seatbelt that holds it in place, but been unable to remove the car seat entirely. Instead of a) telling me they'd done that, b) leaving the car seat tipped on its side so I would immediately know that something was wrong and not buckle my kid into an unsecured car seat and then drive ten miles, or (God forbid) c) calling me and asking how to remove the seat or actually looking at the instruction manual (readily available online, thank you very much), they inexplicably took option d), and replaced the car seat in the exact right position with the seatbelt still apparently threaded through it, so that no one glancing casually from the outside would know that the car seat had been entirely disconnected from everything that actually makes it safe. Luckily for everyone, our drive was entirely uneventful. Even a minor fender bender would have caused major damage, as my son could have been thrown forward and sideways with his momentum PLUS the momentum of the heavier-than-rocks car seat and seriously hurt. (BONUS: when I dropped the car off, I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if they wanted me to remove the car seat because it's a small car stuff is sometimes located in weird places and I've had to go back and take the car seat out at other, better dealers. They told me no.)

6) A few months went by, and my car broke again, same problem as before.

7) I called Tim Lally. I already knew I wasn't taking the car back there (see point 5, above, for how they had endangered by son't life through a combination of laziness and .... well, laziness). I called to see when they were going to get the part I had paid for six months ago. Guess what? No, seriously, guess. The part was ..... sitting in the parts department. Had been for a while, apparently, but they hadn't bothered to call me.

8) I forgot to put this one in the list in chronological order and it's not worth going back and renumbering everything, but I forgot to mention that they ABSOLUTELY SUCK AT CUSTOMER CONTACT. When they had my car for almost a month instead of less then a week, the only way I ever found out what was going on was when I called and then called back and then called back to talk to my assigned customer service rep. He never returned calls, no one else called me, and obviously the parts department doesn't communicate with the customer service department (or anyone else).

Moral of the story?????? DRIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE AND NEVER LOOK BACK.
