I asked them to put my spare, which was the same as the four I had on my truck and never been used, on my chrome rim.
They did it but they put the letters on the inside instead of the outside. Then when brought to their attention after it was done, they said “your spare doesn’t have letters”, I bent over and looked under my truck and told them to do the same and only then did they admit to doing it wrong, that was kind of annoying, kind of like calling the customer a liar. The other tires on my truck were exactly the same and all white letters are on outside.
Mistakes are made and we are human, and they did offer for me to come back and change it back the correct way, but I was way out of my area, so that won’t be happening. I just think that maybe whoever did the job should be trained better and supervised by someone who is knowledgeable and trained appropriately for the job. This wasn’t the case on this day.
Also, be aware, when you call some of these places to see if they can take you when you get a flat on a busy highway and you need help. They will transfer you to a third-party towing service that rips you off which is also what happened this day. ALWAYS call Auto service directly. On this day they transferred me to Atlas, which did a great job, but the third-party charged me just for answering the phone. And Christine, the incredibly nasty, rude woman couldn’t even get the information correct as to where I was which is why I sat on the highway for over an hour.
Mavis/Tuffy needs to oversee their employees and make sure that they are treating their customers with correct customer service because they probably do have good people working for them. I just didn’t experience any of that on this day a week ago.
