Complete lack of communication
I made an appointment for routine service and 2 recalls. The gal I spoke to said one recall needed a part to be ordered so we scheduled the service for the following week (Tuesday Oct 6th) so they could order the part. I was told at that time they'd need the car for half of the day. Check in went fine. They also said half a day. Later that day they called and said they needed to keep it overnight. The following day they called again and said they needed to order the inverter as it failed and they needed the car for a week. I said, I was told you already ordered the part before I ever brought it in. He said they hadn't because it needed to be tested first. I was offered a rental car. (which I returned with a full tank of gas when I picked it up with 3/4 full) Sunday morning I happened to check my email and I had an email from Toyota with a video saying my car was finished and passed inspection. The email had been sent on Friday yet no one had called to tell me my car was ready. I called first thing Monday morning. The gal I spoke to said she'd have someone from service call me as they weren't answering. I waited over 2.5 hours. My husband also called and left a message. Finally Wyatt called and said I could come get my car. When I picked it up it was filthy dirty. Not the condition I left it in. I left and noticed the tire sensor and the air bag sensor were both on. My husband had just had his truck serviced as well so I knew the tire sensor would go off after driving for a little while. I assumed the air bag sensor was on because my purse was on the seat. I drove it the next day and realized it was just stuck on. So my husband called and they said to bring it in the next day (Wed Oct 14) I was told, you should be able to push a button to reset it and that if it was my fault I'd have to pay for it. It's a year old with less than 3000 miles. I take care of it, keep it in the garage when I'm not driving it. I left the lot with the light on! It was fixed quickly and I picked it back up. We did ask them to wash it this time and that also didn't happen. At that point I didn't care, I just wanted my car and to leave. When I bought the car a year ago everyone was as nice as could be but bringing it in for service was a completely different experience and not a good one. Very disappointing.
