Gross Negligence and Privacy Breach by Victory Toyota and its employees
.
I purchased a Toyota 4Runner from this dealership on October 31st 2023. I was the sole signee and purchaser of the vehicle.
In March 2025 my husband told me that my father in law, while in good faith, went to Toyota without my knowledge to inquire if I had an extended warranty as he wanted to make sure I was covered. Again, I had no knowledge of this taking place until after the fact. The Toyota employee who helped him handed over to him my sales contact in its entirety with all of my personal and financial information to keep!! I wasn’t informed that this took place until I got home from work that night and my husband told me. I was shocked and angered that Toyota would take it upon themselves to illegally without consent, hand over my personal information and sales contract. I called and spoke to the manager Ray who told me he would look into it and get back to me. He then emailed me and basically questioned me saying his employees would have had to go to a separate building to obtain the contract and asked if I had proof. I immediately emailed him the pdf of the full contract that they gave my father in law. I heard nothing back. I contacted the Toyota corporate number and filed a case, #250407001693. I still never heard back from the dealership. Corporate reached out to me several weeks later to get more information. I contacted corporate the last time on August 8th 2025 for a follow up, to which they told me that the dealership had two days to get back to me as they escalated the case. I never heard from them. On Sept 3rd, I contacted corporate again and they directly connected me with the dealership manager George. I explained again what happened and reiterated this was a gross breach of privacy and it had impacted my home life in a horrible way and caused distress. He said he would look into this and get back to me. I have heard nothing!! This has been beyond insulting, dehumanizing, and illegal what was done, and they need to be held accountable!!
