Doesn’t recondition, story telling inexperienced greedy people
Customer of mine bought a vehicle from them said they had a Subaru technician look over it and it’s top notch. Even with the miles one would expect the car makes it through the life of your loan. Her wheel bearing went the next morning after purchasing and muffler fell off she had to stop traffic and pick it up. We had to chase him around for money to replace the exhaust when on the lift there was no studs holding the manifold in place I had to chance the block because one thread needed to be tapped. The brakes on the front were rusted one slide seized. Fine car had miles on it to be expected. Fixed all these problems and it needs lower ball joints and control arms. If your on a fixed income this is time impossible after you were told car is perfect still polite though. On her way home from a local trip the car shuts off. She has the car towed to her house makes a video of the car trying to start and I notice timing cover bolts look rusted and have never been off. Was never checked. We call Wade to express the concern as the car was just purchased. He says he will look at, it if it is the engine they don’t fix them, why I don’t know its a simple job on a Subaru easy motor my son at 7 replaced heads. He states it’s $3000 and he will pay half were onto his game at this point. He comes to pick up the car that won’t start I said check fuel pressure as the car sounded like it needed fuel. He never checked timing and goes a head and takes it upon himself without authorization to refine the engine says it slurs and sputters your liking at $3900 won’t pay half now and need a new motor. Never telling us the compression readings, fuel pressure readings, crank position cam readings and throttle position just says it’s bad. After asking Wade these questions he states what’s your lint wet back and wants me to drive to his shop to fight he says I’ll beat you up come down come down here. I said I would have to travel north but rather file a small claims. Now we try to pick up the car because Wade is inexperienced and threatened us, at this point the old belt would make the car run he must of ran into problems putting the belt on tried to cover up his mistake. Or can’t mark a belt needed one with little lines on it. So we try pickup the car with local tow company he denied saying has a bill saying a mechanic from ny gave him authority to work on a vt car owned by someone else. I just said check fuel and timing why I got involved is because Wade asked me questions about repairs. He sounded inexperienced so I shared my experience. So at this point after wades greed sets in I have to call the local police for my customer stating he did a fake timing job and never reconditioned the car. Wades response I’ll let the car go but I’m sueing them in court for counter claim. Buyer beware I now have to buy new valves or have the heads machined thanks guys for checking the timing belt on the most simplest baby talk engine non turbo motor. I’m bringing sugar and ice for lemonade come watch me fix car on side of the road now. Great work team wawaco.
