Horrible place with Lying owner
First and foremost, Greg the owner is a liar! I dropped my 95 Suburban off on April First at 4pm as told by GREG. Greg had quoted me a price of $1500 to do all the work I asked to be done earlier that week, with it supposed to be done by Saturday evening. GREG said he would have someone on it FIRST thing Friday morning “Not to Worry” they would get it done. I had a Friday appointment in Griffin and when I drove by after my appointment at 11am, I was shocked to see my vehicle sitting outside in the exact same spot I had parked it Thursday evening. I called and was told that they were really backed up and would be pulling it inside directly. After a few more phone calls, I was told they were worried that the bolts might break on the exhaust manifolds and it would be better if I got new manifolds if they had to end up cutting the bolts to remove the old manifolds. I was told that they had already tried loosening a few bolts and there were some that were not going to budge. I went to Summit racing and bought both needed manifolds and dropped them off, I was told by the mechanic that he was having issues removing the rear drums as well, but he would get it off. Spring forward to Saturday morning and I called to see the progress. I was told that they were having a hard time getting the drum to release, but everything else was not going to be an issue. I and a friend drove up to the shop and asked to see if we could see about the drum. We went back to my vehicle and noticed that no one was working on it. I asked the other mechanics if anyone was supposed to be working on the vehicle and they said no. It took a grand total of three minutes for us to remove the drum from the vehicle. GREG the owner had arrived and said that we just got the “lucky hit in on the drum”. I told GREG I was pretty upset that there was no one working on the vehicle as he had promised. I told GREG that I also noticed that his mechanic had installed the plugs, wires cap and rotor, but in doing so had also broken one of the hard vacuum lines going to the vacuum cannister. The coil was also unbolted and laying on the intake along with the throttle cable. GREG said that he had two mechanics call in today and that’s why no one was on the vehicle. I told Greg that I was told that someone was working on it earlier when I called to check the progress. GREG said that if I wanted to leave it with him that he might be able to have it done by next Thursday, but that he promised it would be right. I told GREG that due to the less than truthful conversations and the fact that his mechanic broke the line and evidently couldn’t take a drum off, I just didn’t have faith in his shop to do things right. GREG said that he would fix anything that they had broken, and it would be right. GREG then said something that was weird to both I and my buddy. GREG said that they take care of customers cars and that when a car like this comes in he personally videos the vehicle to document any damage or scratches on the vehicle. GREG said I can show you where every scratch is on this vehicle. I told GREG I knew where there were scratches and touchups. I told GREG that wouldn’t work for me and I was pissed that the mechanic had broken the Vacuum line and that made me question what else he may have messed up. I told GREG at this point I felt like it would be better if I and my buddy put all of the vehicle back together and just take my vehicle with me. GREG agreed and I and my buddy put everything back together and I went to GREG and said I would pay for the work that the mechanic had done and GREG said no, you don’t own anything. By Saturday night both of the IMPOSSIBLE manifolds were replaced. We also had to install another set of new plugs due to an intermittent miss which was caused by the mechanic installing a plug that the electrode was not gapped correctly. During this time there were two new scratches that was found by my wife that had not been there when the vehicle was dropped off. I called GREG on Monday April 5th and told him about the damage. GREG said what if I have pictures of the scratches, that would prove that it was already damaged right? I told GREG no that would only prove that pictures were taken of the scratches and that these two areas were not scratched when the vehicle was left at his shop. GREG said to bring the truck by so he could see it and we would see what we could do. After completing all of the work on the vehicle I went to Express tire today April 12, 2021 and had GREG step outside. I showed GREG the scratches to which he said oh those were already there. I told GREG no they were not there when I dropped the vehicle off. GREG said he personally saw both of those scratches before it came ibn the shop. I told GREG that they were not there when I parked the vehicle outside his shop and that he left the vehicle outside overnight. GREG refused to take responsibility saying it was already there, to which I called him a liar (to his face) and that I was done with him and his shyster shop.
