This is a reliable car that is well thought out. The audio system is probably the most stand out quality. I am over 6 feet tall if the steering wheel stuck out another 2 inches, the seating posture would be perfect. Four adults can sit comfortably. BMW offers a leather steering wheel. Since the plastic one looks great I did not spend the $600.00 for the upgrade. That was a mistake I am still paying for 8 years later. The accessory battery has a five year life. Do yourself a favor and just have it replaced at four years. It is the only thing that has ever left me stranded. This car has a very low center of gravity so it handles like an F1 race car. It has tiny tires but being made of carbon fiber and aluminum it’s ultra lightweight. Still for me tire wear is my biggest complaint on this car. Only one tire choice is available here but in Europe there is also Continental tires which are a little less sticky but last longer. Also in the European market you can force the REX (Range Extender) a little gas powered generator to start and run anytime after the battery is below 70%. If you have to drive up a mountain to get to work this is a helpful feature that BMW thinks Americans can’t handle. If you want that feature here you have to jail break the car. Which for a fee can be done. If the REX was just about 25% more powerful this car would be perfect as is. For you entrepreneurs out there a higher performance REX has an international market. This little car over all is a delight. If I lost this one I would rush out and buy another. It is gaining popularity but a good used one can be had for pretty cheap. I am approaching 80K on this one and it still is doing it’s job.

I have o my owner this car a week and keep asking myself why I did not get one years ago. Probably price. Just love the car. Get one coming off lease and they are cheap but excellent quality. Range is perfect for 95% of how and where I drive. Get one! Go green!

A super fun little city and suburban car. Zippy and emissions free. I wish the range were longer, however. Great interior and materials overall, but note that the carbon fiber body is difficult to fix if it gets bonked.
