Best car ever!

I am crushed that Chevy is no longer producing this miracle vehicle. Handles like a dream, ergonomically perfect, no gas used for daily commutes and errands, has a great brain! I don't want all electric if I need to drive 300 miles, which is rare but I don't worry about "where will I charge it between here and Detroit and how long will it take?" Everyone who buys a Volt says the same thing! It's an amazing car!

We like the Volt a lot. It suits us very well.

We are very happy with our Volt. There were a couple of minor recalls that took an hour to complete. We have a mileage of 128 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) since we bought it. Our only complaint is the local dealer service writer.

Love the Volt, the dealerships and GM don't stand behind the service work if they need it.

Love the 2012 Volt I bought new. Have not found a dealership that has a service department to take care of the reduced propulsion problem it has had for three years. Every dealership said the battery was going bad and would send me home having done something else I paid for but still the same reduced propulsion problem. Three different dealerships over three years. Finally Wolff Diagnostics worked on it and it is operating fine, no need for a new battery. Love my Volt but they don't have anyone at their dealerships that know how to fix them if they have a problem.

Best car for the money, and maybe beyond that.

I love the smooth ride and acceleration. I traded my BMW 328i for the Volt and the ride is similar. The acceleration and cornering is similar. I only miss a couple of things. The top doesn't retract into the trunk and the lights don't turn into my curves. Too many electric cars rely on pure electricity and I suppose that's fine if you stay in town. BMW, in order to get a rating in CA, made sure that the electric range exceeded the gas range. Bad idea on long trips if you don't want to drive miles out of the way and stop for 2 hour lunch breaks. Even TESLA, a car I love, doesn't have nearly enough charging stations yet to solve for my needs. ONLY Chev. VOLT, allows you to get respectable 40 miles on electric, and then another 380 miles on gas at about 35 MPG. No other electric car comes close. My driving is 80% to 90% on gas and my lifetime average on the car (over 60K miles) is about 52 MPG. And that comes with performance! Until someone comes up with something better (and they haven't in 2017-- I checked), I'm a VOLT guy. :) Get me all around town totally on electric, but get me to Alaska, Florida and New York without long pauses or driving out of the way for charges. After I bought mine, I got a friend to buy 2 more.

Incredible vehicle!

Incredible vehicle! To say this is the best vehicle I've ever owned, it is probably not very high praise. My previous new car was a 64 VW convertible. All the succeeding vehicles were used and their primary selection criteria was cheap. The electric drive it is amazingly smooth and very powerful. When the engine comes on, which is very seldom, the transition is seamless and hardly noticeable. After 40,000 miles, I am two thirds of the way to my first oil change, and have an overall mileage average of 170 miles per gallon. My only expenses with the car have been tires and the mandatory state inspection fee.
