2007 Elantra GLS

The best car we have owned! (Had a Honda previously). We have owned this car for 13 years and have been very happy with it! We haven’t had any major repairs and regular service by the dealer has kept it running great! We did use our warranty for a few minor repairs, but the service we received by Roseville Hyundai was fantastic. The Elantra GLS is a perfect all around commuter and family car. Gas mileage is great, size if perfect and rides quietly on the road! It’s not the top of the line model, but is affordable for any salary. I can’t imagine what the top models are like with the quality Hyundai has put in the Elantra!!

Still have my car and it's reliable

I love my car. It's been very reliable. The only complaint is I think the driver seat shape contributed to messing up my back. Back when I first started driving this car, the curvature of the driver seat (which was somewhat concave near the bottom of the seat) wasn't good for me. I wound up having back problems. I went to a chiropractor over it for a while. Eventually I just put a pillow to prop my back and I have to drive like that.

It is a great car.

This car is about to be 14 years. It's had no problems. A number of recalls were resolved by the dealer. Regular maintenance done locally including 60K timing belt. Would choose this make and model again if and when I need a new car.

Terrific automobile

Had the vehicle since new and has been a quality automobile - excellent . Good size trunk and interior space. Power performance is there when needed. Sooth ride and easy to handle, park, and visually few blind spots. Very reliable automobile and good quality throughout

Best car ever had

This car has its original parts with the exception of the air conditioner that the condenser was replace because I damaged by parking my car to close to the parking bump ? I am very please with my car since I bought it 0 miles

Virtually trouble free 14 year old car

It's a well maintained car with low mileage for It's age. There were a number of recalls that were taken care of by the dealer. It's a GLS model with sun/moon roof, cruise control, fog lights, power windows, remote locks and mirrors as well .No complaints.

EXCELLENT CAR

I have owned a Hyundai ever since they started selling them years ago. ALL of them have been good to me. The last one I kept because I was getting so much older & thought I would save on P.P. Taxes, etc. It has been an AWESOME car for me. My point is, just make sure you do your warranties & fix things if you have anything that goes wrong. ME...I HONESTLY CAN'T ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE HYUNDAI ELANTRA. I keep it serviced and it runs like a top.

good gas mileage

ease to drive, gas mileage great! Interior comfortable, a few interior problems with sun visors ( came off) and dash compartment door won't shut. Need to improve those items for better wear and tear. The exterior antenna seems to have a deteriorating base that connects to the car- I look for that to come off. Overall I have enjoyed my Elantra very much!

Older vehicle, outstanding performance.

I have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and a 2007 American made vehicle. In comparison, I can see how the Elantra far outperforms my second car. I am a teacher raising 2 boys as my husband passed away a few years back. Therefore I have little money to spend on cars. The Elantra is the car that far outperforms my second vehicle in both maintenance and in performance. The way it runs, I believe I will be able to take it to 200,000 miles easily. Thank you Hyndai!

Still running well!

My 2007 Hyndai Elantra has been a gem. It rides like a newer vehicle, and I have had very few problems with the vehicle. Unlike my 2007 Dodge, it has been very reliable over the years. I hope to be able to drive it for another 10 years!

I've driven much worse

Well over all the car is fairly economical, it's not horrible to look at and is comfortable for the driver at least. Now that the car is older there are multiple problems but that's to be expected. Nowadays cars aren't built to last they're disposable. After that lease. Is up things start to break see I want to get a new car hahaha. This car I have to say isn't that bad it's lasted pretty long it's a 2007 with over 200,000 miles and it still runs. There are some complaints though nothing major more Comfort issues. I personally have a manual transmission but it's not stock. I have all the extras like cruise control power windows locks air conditioning. However at about 140000 miles the cruise control stopped working. And I've had to have the clutch replaced twice since purchasing it in 2013. I've also had to recharge the air conditioning twice. Honestly I don't expect much from an old car though.

Cautiously Reliable

Overall, this Elantra has been a faithful friend. I've had this car since 2008 bought with 7000 miles. It's a great city car. The only downfall is some parts go down close after the warranty ends. Fortunately, the engine and transmission has done well above 100,000 (now at 104444). If you compare this to a Toyota or Honda, of course it's not the same but for Hyundai, it's good.

Overall Dependable and Good Car

I bought my 2007 Hyundai Elantra with only 7000 miles and it currently has 113,000 miles after ten years of owning this car. It has been dependable driving and I’ve not had to have major work done on the car as of yet. I drive this across California and it’s been a faithful car to me. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is due to some parts (vanity mirror, window washer) that literally stopped working after the five year warranty. But overall, I rather have that than transmission/engine problems and it has held up past that warranty. Another thing I will say is the bumper is well built. I accidentally backed into a concrete post at a gas station and not a dent was made in the bumper! Shortly after I bought the car, a woman ran into my rear and no dent. Amazing! So I love my little Elantra and it has served me well.

Great car...have no major repairs at 170,000 miles

This has been a great car. There must be a fault in the electrical system as I have replaced many, many bulbs. Also, why would a new seatbelt have anything to do with a AIRBAG light that won't go off? Maybe there was a recall I don't know about.

Just Keeps On Going!

My ‘07 Hyundai Elantra is a real trooper! I think the previous owner didn’t take good care of this car but once I got the standard maintenance back log taken care of it runs really good! I have 183,000 miles on it and will probably drive it for another 100,000! Great gas mileage, cold AC and dependable!
