5N is pretty awesome
Overall I have been extremely happy with my Ioniq 5N. How can I complain about a car that is a great commuter, great family car, and a track monster? I can complain, but it takes effort to find the faults. I think the trend for cars being too big and heavy is something, but in the same space the 5N is smaller and lighter (Dodge Charger EV, Porsche Taycan Turismo). The 5N is comfortable to drive at any speed. I mainly commute in this car and it's a pleasure to be in the driver seat, put in it eco mode, leverage HDA + Cruise Control, and just enjoy the entertainment systems listening to podcasts or music from CarPlay or listen to radio when cell signal drops. The climate control not hidden in the system is good, but I will say I wish it were buttons or a dial. Seeing exactly what I'm hitting to adjust the fan speed or vent mode when not using auto would be nice. You do have to take your eyes off the road to see it. The car is super quiet and you can hear when something isn't right like a seat belt in the back rubbing on a door or something; also glad to have the rear hatch rattle fixed as that was quite annoying. The rear space with the reclining seats is great and the hatch area is super spacious. I don't have any issues here. Again, I have to find a fault and this is a big one. Why couldn't you all have just put in intermittent wipers vs "smart" wipers? If I lived in an area that rained more I would complain to you all constantly. I'm not sure what problem you all were solving by putting more tech behind something that has been solved for a few decades. Intermittent wipers at least were consistent. The smart wipers just go into high speed although it's only a sprinkle. It's pretty ridiculous and annoying when I have to use them. I wish you would offer that as a downgrade to reprogram to intermittent from the smart as it's not a great solution. I understand the challenge and likely consumer demand of pricey car expectations, but I could do without. I would just like to have a set speed I could set the wipers and be done. When I use them it's never a good experience and just causes me to put rain x and hope that it will hold up get me to low speed wipers.
One last item to highlight is range. I just wish it had more range as I find myself charging every other day or every day. I knew it when I bought it, but feel it's worth mentioning.
