Love the Ioniq 9, but . . .

Really love the car and am happy with it, but the front passenger door seal is inadequate. At highway speeds, it sounds like the window is slightly open. The driver's side is quiet, but even the driver can hear the noise from the passenger door.

Our first EV and very happy owners!

Awesome car and features are well equipped. Unfortunately there is no Memory seating for my wife and I, we have the SEL AWD and my previous car the 2018 Kia Stinger had it. I know the higher trims have the feature but that should be standard for cars nowadays especially 7 seater assuming, it's basically a family car.

My Ioniq

I love to drive this car! It handles the road well, is very smooth riding, has great performance and looks great on the road. The interior is very roomy. Charging the vehicle is easy with the level 2 charger. Once a week is all I need to charge, as I do no drive the vehicle long distances.

Smooth drive, great efficiency

Great interior space, driving quality, and efficiency. There are some minor design flaws, but it seems like the designers put effort where it is most important and kept the cost low otherwise, which I also appreciate.

I loved it this Hyundai EV IONIQ 9 Calligraphy SUV.

It's been not so long, I have purchased Hyundai IONIQ 9 Calligraphy SUV with Honda CRV hybrid 2020. I enjoyed driving it and it has all features and it's luxury car with 3 rows, 6 seats, etc.

Nice, comfortable roomy car with good range.

Great car. I don't love the exterior styling, the key fobs are ridiculously large and the software has some weird limitations (only 2 driver profiles and one phone key that can be shared rather than multiple phone keys).

My second EV

I previously owned another EV from a luxury brand and came to the ioniq 9 when needing a third row. The ioniq 9 is comfortable, feels premium, and has great safety features. The app and infotainment work very well. The one place where this car misses the mark is in its ability to estimate range. My previous car was very accurate and would adapt its range based on how I was driving and other conditions like the heating/AC. However, on one stretch of 40 miles of highway driving during which I used adaptive cruise set to 68mph and hit no traffic, I used 60 miles of range. This discrepancy is frustratingly incorrect. While the EPA estimation of miles per kWh is a good metric, I would prefer to not have to do math to drive my car and just go off the range on the dashboard.

2026 Ionic 9 is Great

The Ionic 9 is a great vehicle. We just drove about a thousand miles with minimal money spent on charging. the dealership experience was not so great, particularly since we are Costco Auto Buyers Program purchasers and did not get the Costco Auto Buyers Program items for the car. Suffice it to say, we love the car but hate dealerships.

Head turning drives

The Ioniq 9 was absolutely the upgrade I was looking for, coming from a 2014 Honda Odyssey. The interior is stylish, the exterior head-turningly unique, and the power makes it fun to drive. I'm thoroughly enjoying all the creature comfort features on the interior, with the space and luxury I was looking for. Whenever I am asked what I think of it, I say I absolutely love it! The only true downside I can think of is that with the height and overall stance, it has more body roll in corners than I'm used to, requiring me to slow down more for turns and curves.

Excellent ride!

Excellent acceleration, comfortable ride and stellar style! This is so much better than expected. The range on the battery is really great and all the amenities make driving so much more fun! If the exterior was a little sexier and a little less Mini-Van looking it would be a perfect 10!

Spacious and comfortable

A very nice car. It is my first electric vehicle, and there is a lot to learn. Perhaps too much gadgetry for a boomer. Took a bit of work to figure out how to get FM radio tuned. I thought it would get better mileage than it does. I wind up charging it much more frequently than expected. But there are a lot of public chargers in my area.

great car with some areas for improvement

I like the car, rides smooth, feels luxurious. I hate the door lock options, i should be able to lock the doors automatically when i walk away. There should be a dog or kids mode where I can lock the door and have the airconditioning on if I want. Also the trunk opening is too small, its small than my Honda CRV opening even though the trunk is bigger. This is a problem for loading and unloading.
