Great Driving Experience
My husband and I bought this car since we already had experience with Hyundai vehicles, having owned a Sonata Hybrid and a Kona SUV in the past, and we knew we’d get a great car, an excellent warranty and outstanding service wherever we went. We originally wanted to buy an electric vehicle, but we didn’t want to worry about charging the battery on trips. After doing our research, the Tucson Plug-In Hybrid sounded like just what we wanted. After driving our new car for three weeks I can definitely say that we got a great SUV. Most of the time the car runs on electric for trips around town and into the surrounding areas. We did take one hour-long drive up into the hills so we could run out the battery. After about forty minutes of driving the engine switched over to hybrid mode and started recharging the battery. The engine also started to use the gas engine, particularly on some of the hills, but we still had 85% of our fuel when we got home from an 80 mile drive. After three weeks and 371 miles we still have 72% of the original tank of gas that we left the dealership with. Our Tucson is also great to drive. It’s very quiet and the driver assist features really help improve your driving and safety. All the controls are easy to learn to use and put everything right at your fingertips. And the seats that can either get warmer or be made to cool and ventilate are a great addition. So, to sum it up, this is a great car. It’s got plenty of space, is very comfortable, drives beautifully, looks great, and has all the connectivity, entertainment and safety features we look for in cars today.
