Veloster N experience

Very nice vehicle. Performs as indicated in numerous online reviews. Very reliable, high performance and eye catching. It is somewhat irritating that this review follows another lengthy review and then demands a certain character length. I came very nearly just closed this survey when it was made so difficult to submit.

2yrs of fun and curves

I have had nothing but fun with my Veloster N Performance Pkg. from telling people the story behind the N brand to enjoying let others rev and hear the pops at car meets. I drive for fun and work with it and it is probably the best vehicle for my driving style I have owned tied with my 2005 Evo VIII.

Small Hatch with Loads of Fun.

Probably the best vehicle I have ever purchased. This vehicles has gone through lots of elements and has handle them amazing with confidence. This car is very universal in my eyes! It’s a sport car when you want it to be and can take you on the long adventure rides when time calls for it! I love this car!

Veloster N

This car replaced my old 1994 Cheverolet Corvette coupe I bought new in 1994. I needed a slightly smaller car that fit my garage and motorcycles. The Veloster N fits easily into my narrow garage, and allows my motorycles to fit also. And the most important part; this little hot hatch is like a motorcycle with 4 wheels! It handles so well and there's a direct connection between driver and car that is missing with most other "cages." ;-)

Stylish, powerful, and reliable.

A powerful feature packed fun car to drive. In a world of mundane, this car adds unique into the mix. Powerful, but not too ludicrous. The exhaust allows for quiet moods to prevail, and loud when you're feeling rebellious. A huge fan of the 6 speed manual, don't ever let that go as an option. I'm a big fan of the N line of vehicles and the Veloster is amongst the best.

One of the most fun cars you can buy for $30K

This car will put a smile on your face every time you step on the accelerator. The noises coming from the exhaust are a delight, and the way this car handles is excellent! You won't have more fun in any other car at this price point, and even from a lot of more expensive cars. Refinement is not this car's strong point, though. Paint quality leaves a lot to be desired, as does the interior. Cheap feeling plastic is used for every surface and it looks dull and boring which doesn't fit with this car's character. For the money, you'd be hard pressed to find a more fun car, but if you're looking for comfort and refinement you should look elsewhere.

Fun Car

Love to drive car. Have some work to do on finding fix for door problem. Fun car to drive. Have some work to do with driver door problem when temp turns cold. Don't like having to crawl in car from passenger side to open drivers door from inside.

Great car unless you face heavy traffic or less than smooth roads. Great for what it is.

Quick. Fun. Very customizable. Suspension is too firm even in softest mode for 15+ miles on any think but very smooth roads. Road/wind noise very noticeable. A fun weekend car but not a daily driver .

Incredible car with horrible quality paint.

I love this car so much. So much that I am willing to overlook the fact that it has the worst quality paint I've ever seen on a production vehicle. Chips and scratches ALL over the car straight from the dealership with less than 20 miles on the odometer. The clear coat seems like it basically does not exist. The only indication of it is the multitude of bubbles I have found in it. There are also tiny rust spots under the paint all over the car, straight off the lot. Amazing car, I was just hoping to keep it looking nice and this seems impossible with the quality of paint Hyundai is using. I wish they wouldn't cut corners here.

Sexy Car with Lots of Power

I love the look of this car, it definitely gets attention on the road. It's really fun to drive. But the intermittent hard-start and smelling of exhaust when backing up make me wonder if I want to continue leasing and/or buy this car outright. And of course, the same old dealership run-around, mind games, fake playing with numbers B.S. is a major turn-off which makes me wonder if I want to deal with this dealership again. The actual salesperson, Carl, was cool though.

2020 Hyundai Veloster N - Almost Great

The 2020 Hyundai Veloster N (with the Performance Package) is an excellent value for a sports car. EXCELLENT handling, very good acceleration, and the best infotainment system on the market make it a solid purchase option. What holds this car back is the tight backseat, odd three door design, and some needed acceleration/power after 2nd gear. Who should buy this car? Someone without children and without the need to put adults in the backseat. Someone who prioritizes handling and wants to daily drive a go-cart. For reference, I considered a VW GTI SE (slower/not as fun) Honda Civic Type R (10k more expensive than the VN I found) Kia K5 GT (lacks an LSD or else I would have bought it) The new AWD Mazda (lacks an LSD) Genesis G70 (much more expensive) Mini Countryman JCW (much more expensive) Subaru WRX STI (10k ish more expensive and the exhaust drone was annoying) Since I found a 2020 Veloster N with the Performance Package for under $28,000 it would have been hard to justify any of the other choices.

Love it

I love my Veloster N. I gave 4 starts because the first month gave me lots of problems and dealing with the dealership was a nightmare, but after it was fixed everything has been great. Great performance, good looking car and super fun to drive!

Fun on own roads

Good for freeway not really a daily driver alot of road noise and stalls alot on takeoff the clutch is too sensitive corners on rails though above 80 steering gets loose better with windows up still best performance per dollar

Most Fun to Drive Car under 35k available.

The Hyundai Veloster N is the most fun to drive car under 35k. Period. Engaging, excellent handling, and enough peppy power to put a smile on your face everyday. Was able to transport around two children above 6 years old with no issues. Car would be 300% better with 30-40 more HP/TQ and AWD.

Surprise of my Life!

I had no plans on buying my N, but after a quick test drive, I was obsessed, in love, and didn't leave without it. It IS hard inside and you can't run phone audio AND navigation simultaneously. It's a stiff ride, but it's supposed to be. This is NOT a touring vehicle. It is a performance vehicle and it's incredible!
