My first “hot hatch”

I am a professional mechanic for a living. Because I get my fill of mechanical exploits at my job I have grown to prefer buying factory hot rods to drive myself. Cars that are already performance based from the beginning. I have had several Mustangs over the years, there was always a special version available. Then I saw the Veloster N. Something different yet still factory special. One test drive and I was almost sold. The more I read and looked at the car the more I noticed hardly anyone had anything negative to say about the car. I am very satisfied with my purchase and as others have said I have a smile on my face every time I drive it. Don’t see how you can go wrong for the money. It’s been rock solid so far!! The only thing I would like to see is some real carpet underneath the premium floor mats.

This car does very much very well. With snow tires & wheel (from tire rack) - Excellent in winter driving situations. Good performance and economy. Comfortable for long drives as well as errands. Excellent for track days - no brake fade; no engine overheating; no understeer, responsive steering. A great car in the tradition of hot hatchbacks. So far very durable and reliable.

2020 Performance N

In love with my N performance in blue, 9 out of 10 time people ask me about the car and color, the only thing I would improve is the quality of the interior please hyundai get rid of the hard plastic.

You need to check it out

I work as a dealership tech and so I’ve driven many types of cars during used inspections and even many new cars. I’ve worked for Hyundai in the past so I could be biased. For the price range nothing compares to it in performance , warranty , and daily drivability. It’s part of a market that needed a new hot hatchback. The Veloster N is worth the look, with new N models coming out soon there will be one to suit the needs of a thrill seeker out there. Downsides are fuel economy, future reliability beyond warranty period, and some ride comfort but this isn’t a luxury vehicle, it’s a race track inspired user friendly vehicle sure to make you smile.

Great car.

A performance car that has a manual transmission, get it while you can. Does everything right and looks great too. It can be an edgy loud performer or a subtle smooth transport. Comfortable interior with auto air and high end performance audio with all the right hookups and Apple included.

Much fun!

Car is a lot of fun to drive. Performs excellently! Drive mode customization is very nice. Infotainment works very well with CarPlay and interior controls are simple and intuitive. Interior is comfortable, though kinda bare bones.

Affordable Driver's Car

Good looking, well-styled driver's car with solid performance and great handling. Fun to drive. Car is best-suited as a roadster for two persons. I put my dog in the rear seat. It's not usable for a human other than a small child. Good cargo room in the hatch area. Sound system is very good.

Excellent car

The Veloster N is perfect with the exception of paint quality .Thank you for making such a fun and exciting car. This is a drivers car for sure and the price point is great. I love the fact that most of the money spent to build this car was on performance. It shows as there is no real carpet( I honestly love that!) I like a raw performance car and this is that for me. It’s the car I’ve been waiting for my whole life!

Amazing sports car for the price!

The styling on this car is perfect compared to some other cars that are a little over the top. Confort is excellent for a sports car. Performance is amazing and a fun car to take down your favorite winding roads. Also, no other car in this price range can beat the sound of this exhaust.

Veloster N PP is a blast

Great car and fun on twist roads and out and about in town. It replaced a 2015 Veloster Turbo and was a great decision! The entertainment package has amazing quality with all types of music. For what it can do it still gets great fuel economy as well.

REAL performance and aggressive styling

The VN is a driver's car through and through. Between the adjustable steering, suspension, throttle response, rev matching, and even launch control there are so many ways to customize the feel of the car, and all of the changes you can make create meaningful change to the character of the car. At it's most comfortable settings the VN is tame but fun to drive; it's nimble and responsive, but comfortable enough to be a daily driver. The sportiest setting, the "N" mode turns the car into a different animal, the suspension stiffens, the throttle response tightens, and the exhaust pops and growls. The car can easily be set to any configuration between the two extremes with a custom driver profile.

Performance car that does everything well.

Excellent handling and quality of overall performance. After over 5 track and autocross events NO brake fade, understeer, overheating. Excellent steering and handling. Has gotten nearly 40 mpg cruising at freeway speeds. Very comfortable and fun drive overall. 6 speed manual is the best I have owned/driven (compared to VW, Fiesta, 912, Fiat 128, mustang, capri, Sentra SE-R). Approaching 17000 miles and no problems.

Very nice vehicle. Performs as indicated in numerous online reviews. Very reliable, high performance and eye catching. It is somewhat irritating that this review follows another lengthy review and then demands a certain character length. I have had nothing but fun with my Veloster N Performance Pkg. from telling people the story behind the N brand to enjoying let others rev and hear the pops at car meets. I drive for fun and work with it and it is probably the best vehicle for my driving style I have owned tied with my 2005 Evo VIII.

Small Hatch with Loads of Fun.

Probably the best vehicle I have ever purchased. This vehicles has gone through lots of elements and has handle them amazing with confidence. This car is very universal in my eyes!
