My 2019 Nissan Leaf Plus

That "Plus" is important. With the 62 KH battery the Plus is actually a viable car. Electric car range is confusing. There are several methods used to determine range. I know that when temperatures are in the teens or below a 140 mile trip will light up the dire warning lights built into the car, but in the twenties the car will give you 200 miles without trouble. Plan accordingly!

Good, solid EV

I bought my 2019 Leaf S Plus (227 mile range) new at the end of 2020 so I got a very good deal, including the federal tax credit. The car has been GREAT! Nothing fancy, not fast like a Tesla but fast enough. I never travel beyond its range, so I simply don't worry about how to charge it. I just park it in the garage and trickle charge on a basic 110 outlet. The most enjoyable part of the car is the ePedal, which acts like a brake when you lift your foot off the accelerator -- makes driving a lot more enjoyable. Everything works great. I can't think of anything I don't like.

A work in progress (too many buttons, levers, dials, lights, and switches).

I’ve been an EV fan since 1980 when I was in the automotive battery business. There’s no doubt that as we have seen incredible blue skies since March, the IC engine is on its way out. And as more people keep working from home, even the average daily commute will fall from the current 35 miles a day RT. So what’s a car for? Short hops. And if need be an IC rental once or twice a year for the trip to the beach or Grandma’s house.

Needs Simplification

11 months and 7000 miles. 3.1 miles per kWh. Awesome Put in a 240v dryer plug in the carport. Far too many buttons and switches and such. Get rid of the “stick shift” and put 5 buttons up by the driver’s dashboard vent so I can put my coffee cup there.
