It's fun, but no cigar.

I wanted a VW EOS when they first came out. I finally got one used, and I always have fun driving it with the top up or down. However, like so many German things, it's temperamental and demanding. All sorts of little issues have cropped up over the past 5 years, and some are outrageously expensive to fix. As a corporation, I would never buy from Volkswagen again; and certainly not from Harmony VW in Asheville, which is the worst car dealership I've ever dealt with in the 54 years since I got my driver's license. Overall, I give the EOS a C+.

Quirky, temperamental VW -- but so much fun

I wanted a VW EOS hardtop convertible from the time they first came out. VW does everything differently, so a lot of mechanics (including mine) don't like them. But it's fun to drive, though expensive to maintain.

Love EOS except

It is a very needy car, probably bc of its unusual engine. I was spoiled by my 1997 Cabrio as it reached 213k, with a few expensive repairs towards the end (always get the extended warranty!). My EOS is at 139k and has had so much work done I’ve renamed her Joan. Despite the expense, I love this car and she is still beautiful. Just wish I could trust her on a long journey.

Best car I ever owned

Amazing car I love to drive this car are there people love to drive it to get so many compliments I can stop a biker gang to come and look at it it's amazing This is an amazing car on a trip even around Tom the gas mileage is great

I love my VW EOS

Fun and sexy car. I love driving with the top down. This is my first convertible car and I love it. The hard top feature is excellent; it feels much safer than a soft top. Having a red, sporty car is a new kinda fun.

I love my car

I know Vw’s can have issues but this car is worth it! I’ve always had a Toyota or Honda but this car is way more fun to drive. Love the hard top convertible and turbo! It’s adorable and good on gas. Lots of fun gadgets!

Second EOS. Love them. Fun to drive. Economical to drive. Draws a lot of attention, especially when putting the hardtop down or up. Somewhat expensive to maintain, a check engine light can lead to many potential problems.

Fun for all

I love my EOS. The glass roof let's the light in and adds fun on those cloudy days, and going topless on sunny days is fun too. It's easy to enjoy yourself in a wonderful car like this.

Love my hard top convertible coup

Very happy with the reasonable price of the VW Eos over the BMW and Audi options. Runs great, love the hard top convertible. No issues with leaking. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles for features, but could add them, and very happy with what it does have. Not great for bigger people, but I'm small and I love it. The back seat and trunk when the top is up are surprisingly spacious, which is very useful.
