Coming from another country, finding a mechanic I can truly trust has been very difficult. Back home,
I worked on my own cars and had one mechanic I relied on for jobs that were beyond me. When my wife’s E140 Corolla needed a new CV shaft and had to be towed in, I was understandably cautious. From the very beginning, these guys were fantastic.
What I love most about this shop is that they actually allow you to bring your own parts. As long as you cross-check part numbers with them, which I did with Bryan and Ezekial (hopefully I spelled that right 😅), they’re completely open to it. I haven’t found another shop in the Twin Cities that allows this. It’s especially great if you’re a car enthusiast who prefers specific brands and knows exactly what parts you want used.
Ezekial was incredibly attentive to my concerns about the repair. He was friendly, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. That kid definitely has a future running his own shop one day. Bryan was also excellent, helping me confirm the parts I was buying and offering advice about the place I was purchasing them from.
Pricing was very reasonable, and I really appreciated that they didn’t try to push any unnecessary extras. They simply told me what they recommend I address in the future and left the decisions up to me.
Overall, I’m really glad to have found my go-to mechanic as a new resident of this country. Their honesty, fair pricing, customer service, and willingness to let me bring my own parts have made this the only shop I’ll trust with my cars in Minnesota.

I previously lived in Hopkins and went to Baker for an oil change, tire rotation, and a headlight tha
t was out almost 2 years ago. Instead of charging me for the headlight, the owner empowered and showed me how to do it myself. I have since moved to Crystal, and went to a shop local to my new home for a shudder I was feeling with the engine and a wheel sound. I was told by my local shop I simply accelerated too slowly, and they laughed at me. It didn't sit right with me, so I took my car back to Baker. Baker found my motor didn't have a torque bracket which keeps my motor in place and needed a transmission flush for the shudder I was feeling. I wasn't crazy. I received fair prices, high quality work, and honest recommendations for future maintenance. I didn't feel any pressure for the recommended future repairs, actually the complete opposite. Eric was honest and told me I could wait on tires and brakes till Spring. As a female, I tend to feel pressure at auto shops since car repairs aren't my forte. I didn't feel one ounce of pressure. If you're looking for integrity, honesty, and fair pricing, Baker should be your go to for your family, friends, and well, anyone you know!

buy and have Stacey conduct pre-purchase bumper to bumper inspection: she showed us where there was proof of accident/salvaged title situation, which meant our car insurance company wld not insure.

t communications and excellent upbeat approach. I was also given an estimate for tires that I will be needing.
