Dropped my van at Flash to fix a groaning noise that seemed to be coming from under the driver seat.
Mike and me went for a test drive to replicate the noise and sure enough it groaned for Mike too. Mike brought the van back to diagnose and hour or two later Mike called to ask if there was a locker or a limited slip in the rear diff ( Mike narrowed the noise to the rear diff. not where I thought it was coming from). I told Mike I didn't know. Mike said of it is either of those two things it needs an additive to the gear oil to quiet the clutch packs. He added the additive. Long story but Mike nailed it. That's what it was. The previous shop I took it to diagnosed it wrong and replaced a part that didn't need replacing at a cost of over $2000.00. Flash's cost to fix: $184.72.
