Faulty brakes - no logical explanation not receiving a refund
After bringing in my vehicle to have the front brakes and rotors replaced, there was an ongoing front squeaking every time I applied the brake. I brought it back to the shop, where they inspected it and informed me that I could have them replace the front brake pads, but they also stated that 1 of the rear rotors were warped and if the front brake pads did not correct the problem that I would have to pay for the new front brake pads, instead of it being under warranty. I declined that offer and had it done at another shop. The day I had the other shop replace them, I had them give me the original brake pads, which I brought back to Arlington Tire. After explaining to them the situation, and requesting a refund, they took the brake pads that they had installed and informed me that they will contact their corporate office and get back to me. Almost a month waiting, I went back to them, and they told me that there was no warranty on the pads because I did not have the original box for it! I questioned how could I possibly have the original box from the pads that they installed? No response that made sense was provided although they did offer me either a free oil change or a discount on a future service for my vehicle. I told the representative there that I get unlimited oil changes and tires through the place that I bought my vehicle from for the lifetime of the car, and I had no desire to have Arlington Tire perform any future services on my vehicle if this is how they are handling business. Since I had no need for the brake pads, I told them they can hold them or throw them out as that is what I was told they would end up doing anyway. I was very disappointed with the end result, and I will not be taking my vehicle there in the future
