Please please read this! I purchased a car from AutoFair Hyundai this month! On January 10th I have lived a nightmare with this dealership. During the test drive I was assured that the battery light in the vehicle was only because of it sitting on a lot. That was wrong…. When it was brought to Mercedes by Autofair for a gas smell it had 2% life to it. I had to pay 548.00 for Mercedes to replace with no help or partial help from dealer. This was day 2 of owning it. They also told me that the ball joint was bad and it has much play in it. When addressed with Autofair they wanted documentation which Mercedes which I’m getting. I took the car on day 4 of ownership to a local German garage who also said they would never have passed the inspection sticker they placed on it due to the play in the ball joint. I’ve asked Autofair for help in paying the 680.00 to repair with another run around. Now I learned from the same garage that it was in an accident as I can’t close fuel door without having to play with it. They noticed a shotty paint job and the quarter panel is bent so they can’t fix the door. It has been a nightmare and I’ve only owned it for 8 days. I’ve begged for my trade back, I’ve asked to be put into another car, my salesman said it was possible but now he has dropped off the face of the earth and is no longer responding to my messages. I’m heartbroken and have been beyond stressed This dealership passes an inspection with a bad ball joint which my current shop will provide paperwork stating it was faulty. You can’t tell me this dealer didn’t know all that was wrong. I was scammed and I’m hoping for some kind of Justice I want people to know that they need to steer clear of this business. I’ve received no calls from the general manager, just communication from a sales manger who is unwilling to help. He wants me to take the car back to them for said issues but if they fooled me once why back for another runaround? They stood behind their shotty business practice to sell me a car needing repairs. Why would they help? My brakes needed to be replaced, rotors were shot, and tires were worn on inside. I’ve now put 3,100 into this car. Misinformed to the max. Missed work, paid for a tow, and Uber all in a week of ownership. I’m keeping all receipts and documentation and hoping for a resolution. I had to tow because of fuel smell and afraid it was a gas leak .Come to find out it was two hoses that needed to be replaced. Did Autofair not smell the gas while in their garage or notice the smell? On my test drive I didn’t smell it but once sitting it was bad. Autofair did voluntarily bring it to Mercedes for gas smell and that’s the only good thing they’ve done through all of this. They didn’t need to pay as it was covered by Mercedes so they were let off the hook but what about everything else!? 😫
