Long wait on phone and closed early before I could pick up my car
I had good past experiences taking my Honda Pilot to Bill Smith's Auto because of their friendly customer service and better rates than Priority Honda. My recent experience was not so. I took our Honda in for some engine noise and left the car there so they could look into it first thing in the morning. When I called to see what they found, it had not even been looked at and they were just going to take it for a drive that afternoon. They called us back about an hour later and told me what was wrong. I had to talk it over with my husband because it cost a lot of money to fix. When my husband called back, they kept him on the phone waiting for an answer for close to 15 minutes while they were taking care of other customers. It would have been nice if they had offered to call him back. He was not pleased. We decided to go ahead and get the problem fixed and they called me at around 4pm that day for pick-up. I was in the middle of a long dental procedure and would not be able to get my car before they closed at 5pm. They said I could pick it up between 8 and 11am the next day. I was running late the next morning but called twice before 11 to tell them I was on my way and would get there before 11am. No one answered the phone. When I got there with my son at 10:55am, the place was already shut down. The sign on the door said "closed" and the steel gates were already locked with my car on the other side. I had to wait until Monday and ask my neighbor to take me to pick up my car. When I mentioned that I tried picking up my car on Saturday but they were closed, the man was defensive and said he was there until 11am, which simply was NOT true because I was there at 10:55am with my son to verify that he closed early.
