Congratulations on your new GM crate engine with a 36 month 100k mile warranty! Your first oil change is due in 3k miles and we do it for free, gives us a chance to check for leaks and any other concerns. After that, the oil needs to be changed every 6k miles with synthetic oil and filter.
Damage to your engine was much worse than first thought, as we took it apart it was full of sludge and metal shavings. Instead of being unhappy about the damage caused, I would ask the question what caused it, and how do I keep it from happening again? Lack of maintenance caused the problem. To keep it from happening again the engine must have the oil changed on time! With a new engine this is the opportunity to start a maintenance schedule to help maintain your cars value. It's much cheaper to maintain your car than it is to have major failures and repairs.
    5w30 synthetic oil with an upgraded filter is recommended, if non synthetic oil is used, the oil and filter change needs to be every 3k miles.

Vince said the staff fixed stuff on his vehicle that didn't need to be fixed. A week later, he had to have his vehicle fixed at another facility, to have the parts repaired that were actually broken. It cost him a lot of money.

If you think doing a state inspection on your truck is fixing things, you are sorely mistaken. The only thing we did on your truck was inspect it for the state.

When I first started my car up after the service, there was an engine knock that was very audible, but then I turned off the motor and then restarted it and it has been purring like a kitten ever since and my husband says that it hasn't sounded so good in a long time! Thank you for great service!
