As the new owners of Eugen’s Auto Sales & Repairs, we did everything we could to be straight and honest. We run a reputable business with hundreds of happy customers.
On 06/24 had her vehicle repaired at Eugen’s Auto Sales & Repairs, Inc. She paid $96 for Rear Rotors; $56 for Rear Brake Pads; $180 for Labor for R&R Rear Brakes, Rotors & & R/R Caliper. They bled her brake system, and she also paid $140 for the R/R Caliper Assembly.
On 10/15 brought the vehicle in to the new owners, Big Pete & Sons LLC. D/B/A Eugen’s Auto Sales & Repairs for a diagnostic.
She discussed the following with our mechanic, Chris.
1) Replacing the defective caliper at no cost.
2) Chris agreed to only charge labor of $100+tax to replace the caliper.
3) T he need to replace the brakes which were destroyed by the defective caliper.
4) Reviewed the photos of the severe rust issue with the vehicle. The whole rear end of the vehicle is completely rusted out and was advised not to drive it.
5) She agreed at the time to have the brakes replaced plus pay $100+tax for the labor.
The agreed upon work was completed 10/16. The invoice was initially written up incorrectly for $200 in labor which was corrected when she arrived. The bill came to 151.90+tax for a total of 164.05. she claimed she was only told that she had to pay the labor cost of $100 and not for the brakes.
She did not want to pay for the brakes, so we offered to put her original bad brakes back on so she would only have to pay the $100+tax for the labor. We stood by our word to charge $100 for labor only. We did her a favor by returning the caliper as defective and replacing it with a brand new caliper.
We’re sorry she felt this way about us, however, we did everything we could to make this a correct and fair transaction.
Thank you!
