The manager is extremely knowledgeable and genuine... the repair technicians are skilled... and the prices are fair.

Bad service
I took my 2006 jeep commander for an engine they installed a bad engine which was under warranty talk to the manger dont worry just bring it back in we make it right never made the situation right now months later trying to take them to court cant get the person served because the business is in a person name that's not at the shop these people are liers that's all they do is lie and when you disagree with them they try to get tuff like you not about that life if you trying to stay out of jail don't do business with these lying fuckers

Juan said he didn't like that they started doing other things different than what he told them. He said that they scared him by doing that. He said he didn't have the time and money to do it. He took his vehicle to another facility and they fixed that 1 thing he asked them to do quickly and did not charge him to tell him what was wrong with his vehicle like the other place did.

Overcharge but Under Deliver
I brought my car in for a new engine and explained the car had been sitting and requested they check everything as this car was for my daughter who is a new driver.
The engine was installed (I was never given proof of the miles on the engine but charged a lot of money!) and a week later I had to bring it back for brake lines that were dragging, and the coolant light was on. The coolant light was not repaired it’s still on.
The next day I took my car to the Chevy dealership for the required Saturn recalls and they refused to let me take the car off the lot because the brake and transmission lines were leaking. This cost me an additional $1200!!! American Auto had already charged over $3600 and I was left with unfinished work and major missed repairs. According to the service manager at the dealership those lines leaking could have been deadly.

I put my trust and my car in the hands of American Auto and I am still paying for repairs they missed (struts).

I can say that I have learned a valuable lesson and will make much better decisions in companies I trust with major repairs.

Joshua said the facility wanted him to pay additional money for a part connected to the original service. He was charged incorrectly for the part. The vehicle was returned five or six days later than promised. When the vehicle was returned, he waited two hours for a test drive to make sure the vehicle was running alright. There were issues with the payment method he chose. A service person spoke to his father in a rude manner.
