They are an AMFAM authorized repair shop, and I am not sure what their motivation was. I am very disappointed with my experience at Gerber Collision. Their assessment of my vehicle was inaccurate; they claimed there was "paint transfer" and damage not caused by a deer. After inspecting the car myself, I can say with certainty that the white substance on the front is not foreign paint at all, but the car's own clear coat delaminating from the impact. It scratches, flakes, and peels off easily, leaving the original base coat intact with no scuffs or gouges. This can be found in a 5-minute Google search.
Instead of properly evaluating the vehicle, they made assumptions that I strongly disagree with. This caused Amfam to open a special investigation and delay the entire process.
A collision center should provide careful, thorough, and unbiased inspections. Unfortunately, I did not experience that with Gerber Collision.
