Oil chage
I came in for an oil change and courtesy check,I got a call that my oil pan plug was stripped and would just spin so they would have to order an oil pan and might take a couple days to get it in and got a qoute of 460 so I said go ahead and let me know when its done that I have another vehicle I can use in the meantime. When I got the call that it was done I was told the quote I received was incorrect that my total was over 1000.So I have 3 issues.1 if my plug was faulty how did I never notice an oil leak? 2 Had I received a quote for 1000 I would have taken the option offered to top off the oil and wait on repair and just come pick it up.3 When I picked it up I was told that the courtesy check was never done.Very disappointed in all aspects of my visit.

Thanks for leaving a review and I apologize for your experience.  After talking with the tech and service advisor, it was certainly an error on our behalf that we did not provide you with an accurate quote for the job.  To remove/replace the oil pan on a V8 Explorer, we had to remove many parts of your vehicle, totaling to just under 7 hours of labor.  To answer your question, there was not any type of oil leak occuring from the plug.  However, the plug would not have been able to tighten back into the oil pan once it was removed (for the standard oil change) due to it being frayed/stripped.  I understand your frustration and disappointment and would be happy to do a complimentary oil change on your vehicle in the future for the oversight.  Please contact us at any time about this.
