We traded a 2020 Ford Edge that we had purchased brand new from the Red Mcombs off I-10. 4 months after we got the Edge it spent 2 months in the shop for electrical problems. So we decided to trade it for the Explorer due to some mechanical issues we began to have with it. The vehicle had a little over 12,000 miles.
Now the Explorer with 24,888 miles has transmission problems. It shifts hard and will even squeal tires changing gears.
We purchased an extended warranty on this vehicle not to mention it has a manufacturer warranty as well.
However in order to use the warranty we purchased it has to be diagnosed before they will provide a rental vehicle
The service department hasn’t even looked at the vehicle and stated it could be 2 weeks before they diagnose the problem. Not including God knows how long to fix it.
So here we are no drivable vehicle and no loaner.or rental. How can anyone go that long without their vehicle.
We will never purchase a Ford again and definitely never a vehicle of any kind from any Red McCombs Ford again.
Once they put you in the a vehicle new or used you are on your own. Beware!!!
