Didn't bother doing the job they charged me for.
I dropped off my Silverado LS3 for them to diagnose and fix my P0306. As a master mechanic, I knew exactly what the truck needed but I didn't have the time to deal with it myself as I drive truck every day 16 hours. So I figured, why not, splurge a bit and let someone else deal with it. I wrote the basics on the envelope, dropped my keys and said, take your time, I don't need it back anytime soon. I really wanted them to take their time and really go through the truck. Well the very next morning I get a call. They stated that my truck had spun a rod end bearing and that it would cost $12,000 for a used LS3. I declined knowing that a rod end bearing that had gone bad would have had these symptoms. No oil pressure (my oil pressure was great), metal fragments in the oil pan (no metal in the oil I changed just days before taking it in) A rod end bearing failure would not throw an engine code for a single cylinder misfire. And lastly, I wouldn't have been able to drive it into the shop if the bearing was smoked as they said. What was really happening was a fuel knock due to cylinder 6 misfire. While this can trick some beginner stage mechanics, they should have at minimum, unbolted the 3rd member, drained the oil, removed the oil pan and pump, and removed the rod end bearing to confirm their claim. They didn't. They didn't touch the truck. They did however try to charge me $375 for doing absolutely nothing other than guess what it could be. The also didn't realize my ABS issue wasn't due to a ground connection. It was from the booster hose to the intake manifold fitting. I knew this before, I just wanted to see what they would determine. Long story short, avoid this shop at all costs. I would have gladly paid them to fix it if they were honest, but they weren't. I still paid the bill although I shouldn't have, but there again, I just didn't have the time to work on it and was hoping midvalley would have been an honest shop that I could have trusted to work on my vehicles. They did more work to my 99 silverado and only charged me $160 for a full diagnosis.

Thank you for your feedback. We respectfully disagree with several statements made in your review.

Your vehicle was brought to us with two concerns: a P0306 cylinder 6 misfire and an ABS warning light. Diagnostic time was spent evaluating both issues.

For the misfire concern, we verified the P0306 code, monitored live misfire data, and confirmed an active misfire on cylinder 6. During testing, we identified a loud, consistent knocking noise from the cylinder 6 area that increased with engine speed. Based on the location and characteristics of the noise, our findings were consistent with an internal engine mechanical failure involving the rotating assembly, which we believed to be the cause of the misfire.

For the ABS concern, we retrieved code C0265 for an EBCM relay circuit malfunction. We performed circuit checks and verified power and ground supplies to the module. During our inspection, we found significant corrosion at the frame-mounted ground connection. Manufacturer service information identifies this as a known cause of the code present. Our recommendation was to address the ground concern and reassess the system before replacing any ABS components.

We also note that the explanation provided in your review regarding the ABS concern does not align with the fault code that was present. Code C0265 is an EBCM relay circuit fault, and our recommendations were based on the code retrieved, the test results obtained, and manufacturer service information.

The diagnostic charge was for the testing and evaluation performed on both concerns. We understand that you disagree with our conclusions, but we stand behind the diagnostic process and recommendations provided.

We were not made aware of any concerns regarding the diagnosis when the vehicle was picked up and the invoice was paid. Had those concerns been brought to our attention at that time, we would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss our findings in greater detail.

We appreciate the opportunities we've had to serve you in the past and wish you the best moving forward.
