Scam
On Saturday, June 28, I drove to Millennium Hyundai (located at 265 North Franklin Street, Hempstead, NY 11550). I was assisted by Sales Manager Kevin Jave. I asked for the total price of a new Tucson—including tax and registration fees. He asked for a $500 deposit before revealing the final price; after I paid the $500, the figure jumped from $36,500 to $41,136. Their deceptive tactics are both sophisticated and unscrupulous. When it came time to sign, they handed me an iPad where nothing was clearly visible and had me sign my name over ten times; the documents were then printed out, and I signed them, effectively forced into purchasing the vehicle. I urge anyone looking to buy a car to be extremely cautious. The best course of action is for us to avoid this dealership altogether and let them realize that customers are the ones who keep their business alive.
