Stolen car
I took my car in for the faulty GDI motor and the anti-lock update. I dropped it off on Saturday and magically sometime Sunday my car was stolen off the lot by the KIA boys per the service manager Steven Reid. Even when I first dropped it off the services members were acting as if they were being bothered to do their jobs. The one gentleman who looked in my car said immediately what is it that you want us to do because there is no check engine light on. I started recording the conversation and I explained what my car was doing which he then stated that it meant my was going to go bad soon but I needed to bring it back after in ceased up. I took my key and drove to the front and talked to a gentleman who was titled “head coach” he agreed with what I was saying and the service manager Mr. Reid tried to state my experience was different then what I stated. Then finally they took my car in. Today, I received around 3pm from Mr. Reid and he stated to me, “Ms. Grimes unfortunately, I have some bad news about the car.It was stolen off the lot by the KIA Boys they broke your ignition switch and got it started and used it to burst through the gates” How do you know who it was? It’s ironic that you know it to be them boys and the details but you were not able to get the police involved and have nothing to do with what happened and have no loaner to provide. Additionally, Hyundai corporate stated that the dealership was doing shady business with my situation. So now I have no car and they can’t do anything for the inconvenience they caused . Corporate also stated that they could have put my car in a bay and locked it knowing that my car was already compromised. I called back and spoke to Mr. Albert and told him what all corporate said regarding a loaner, their practices, and so on and his response was that Hyundai corporation was incorrect and that this dealership does not do what corporate stated could be done. He also he wasn’t calling them liars but that it wasn’t true. Even the part about their insurance covering my car damage if recovered.
