First off, I want to say please do not be FOOLED by the high rating of this place. They clearly have family, friends etc posting good reviews to get their business up.

I had gotten over 7 grand in repairs done and oil changes at pleasant car care. I have brought my car into them from the day I got it. The first few times I brought my car in for an oil change it was great, I even got to go in the back and get things pointed out to me that were potential fixes that my car would need. For some reason, that all went down hill the more I returned for service.

I drive my car upwards of 4,000 miles a month. I use it for work etc so I am constantly needing oil changes and work done to my car. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have called and mind you I get an oil change every month, that’s 12 times a year and about 16 times since I’ve gotten the car. 16 times over again I have called to schedule an appointment and every single time I bring it in I get the “do you need it back today?”. The point of me calling, and trying to make an appointment is so that I can bring in my car, get my oil changed and leave within the same hour. There have been multiple times that I have showed up after calling and have asked to leave my car for a few hours. What is the point of me bringing my car all the way in with an appointment and then get told it might be awhile. It’s a waste of my time and theirs.

And that brings me to my point that they were arguing with me about, that I asked for them to “look over my car and check a few things out” which talking to me like I’m not mentally capable of understanding that they have to drive the car around and actually look at it only makes me more upset. I’m not stupid, I want more clarity, structure and a clear line of communication. If I call in saying I want my car checked out and an oil change your first response should be “let me check our schedule to see if we can fit you in” not “bring it in” and then when I get there telling me you’re so busy you might not be able to look at it today. It’s extremely frustrating for someone who has a busy schedule and works around planning etc to get all the way there only to be told “it might be awhile we might not get to it today”

And now I sat there and argued with them because I know an oil change takes an hour AT MOST. And they advertise that they do a whole inspection of the car if you get an oil change. I understand to diagnose some problems you have to take the car out and bring it on the highway. That takes time, 45 minutes AT MOST. Literally this would have taken 2 hours to look into my car and get the oil changed. 2 hours. That’s not a long time, I mentioned on the phone I would be coming in at 3 and I know they close at 6. So tell me how it’s my fault for their piss poor planning? Don’t tell me to come in at 3 knowing you close at 6 and might not have the time.

Not to mention they quoted me about 900 dollars to get my right CV axle fixed. While there was NO noises turning, no noises driving, absolutely nothing that would suggest I need a new axle. They sent over a picture saying there was a tear in my boot, with grease all over the bottom of the CV joint. They said it was leaking and it would cease up on me in at least a few thousand miles probably less. Fast forward about 11,000 miles. YUP YOU READ THAT RIGHT 11,000. I still have no issues so I thought to myself why not bring it in to a mechanic and have it looked at, that’s so odd?! Low and behold he asked if I had got a brand new right axle. I said no? Completely puzzled. He said well I see no tear, and the grease is almost completely gone it looks like someone just wiped grease on the bottom of your joint to make it look like it was leaking. He proceeded to ask where I brought it etc and low and behold I look up reviews on this place, sort it by lowest reviews and there you have it. Multiple people with the same exact issue as me. Being told they have big fixes that they need done and not really needing them at all.
