Hung said he is not a completely satisfied customer because he was not satisfied with his overall experience with Renton Collision Center and he would only rate the experience with a 4. His vehicle was not ready when promised and it was one week late because there was an insurance company delay. Also, he was not kept adequately informed during the repair process. He had to call them and he was not well informed by them.

We are always striving to do better in the eyes of our customers. We provide quality collision repair and at the same time negotiate with the insurance company to provide the best possible repair. This can be a challenge at times and can delay our repair process and communication with the customer. We will make our customer more aware of the background events with the insurance companies. Steve said he rated his overall experience with the business a 3, because he had to bring his vehicle back to the business to resolve a new headlight issue, it had some humidity. Also, when he recently washed his vehicle, he noticed an issue with the front bumper. There is a 1-inch gap on one side of the bumper. He was completely satisfied with the quality of the body work, except for the one issue above. However, he plans on calling the business to resolve the issue to his satisfaction, since he has a warranty on the vehicle.

We did verify that Steve's headlight was defective and replaced it for him at no charge. Also at the same time we did an adjustment to his front bumper

Julie said her vehicle was ready before it was promised. She's been there 3 times. She's recommended them to her friends and they go there now. It's a great shop. They aren't out to gouge people. They cater to families. One time her warning light came on and she pulled in to see what was wrong. They told her the taillight was out and he changed it for her. They are so nice. She recommends them to everyone.

Curtis said he's an insurance agent, and his dad is too, but he chose this business because he went on-line and there wasn't one bad review regarding Renton Collision Center. His experience with this business was amazing, and the person who helped him with everything called him every other day to keep him updated. Curtis got his vehicle back 2 or 3 days late because this vehicle is old, and it took time to track down a part, which wasn't this business's fault. Since his experience with this business he sold this vehicle, purchased a new vehicle, and is returning to this business tomorrow because he got into an accident with his new vehicle.

Romeo said he rated 2 overall because when he scheduled his appointment they told him the insurance company would pay for the insurance on the rental vehicle, but when he got there, he had to pay the rental insurance fees out of his pocket. It was ready on the promised day, but about 4 hours later, and they didn't give a reason for the delay. There was too much gas or paint smell when he got inside the vehicle.

This was apparently a miscommunication. The insurance company will only pay for the rental of the car and will never pay for the insurance of the rental car. It is the law to have insurance on your car in Washington State and in most cases it tranfers to the rental car. After we have refinished a vehicle there sometimes can be a paint smell for a short period of time when the paint is curing fully. Unfortunatley we can not minimize this effect and some people are sensitive to it.

We did apologize to Kim for the lack of communication but we were waiting to hear back from the dealership on the delivery of the parts. Unfortunately we are at their mercy sometimes but will do a better job of keeping the customer informed. We are pleased that Kimberly will use our services again and we will exceed her expectations next time.
