Engines burn oil, do your research please!
Buyer beware, there are multiple class action lawsuits again Hyundai due to faulty engines. Please do your research prior to buying a Hyundai or Kia. I purchased the monthly maintenance package along with my vehicle. I’ve had to take my Tucson into the service center due to a check engine light 5 times this year alone. The service center is terrible at responding to calls. After being told my car was likely burning oil, I was asked to drive my car for 1000 miles “just to make sure.” I was hesitant but did as told and brought my vehicle back in, confirming it was in fact burning oil. Tom in the service center advised paperwork would be submitted for engine replacement and they would call back with updates. It was been over a month and I have had no updates. When calling, the receptionist is very rude, ETA on the engine replacement cannot be provided. They will not provide a rental car and they have no urgency to resolve this issue. I will never buy a Hyundai again.
