To respond to Amy about this phone call and repair. Amy was called on Friday late afternoon and a message was left with her to call us back. Amy came to the garage after we closed about (4:10PM) and I was still here. I talked to Amy after she told me who she was and what she wanted. I told her that her transmission had problems and needed to be repaired. I also told her that there was codes for the alternator. We found 2 broken wires and repaired them did a test drove and retested for codes. Only the a/trans codes came back. We fixed these codes because a charging problem can cause transmission to act up. Amy told me friday night that this problem has been looked at by other garages and they could not find the problem. Never complain or said anything about fixing this problem that nobody else could before on friday.
Monday came and she talked to Joann and acted like she never talked to me on Friday. Amy said she never gave us the ok to repair the wires for the alternator and would not pay for that repair. Joann switch the phone call to me and I tried to talk to her and explain, but she did not want to hear anything about that and said she was not going to pay. I told her that I would hang up if she would not calm down. During this phone call and not being able to explain anything I told her that she only had to pay for the testing that we did and come get her car. I removed the repair that we that we did for the alternator codes before she came for her car. I
told Amy that I was going to do this and I removed the repair.
Amy's mom came and paid for the testing and that is the last I heard from Amy. I
am sure Amy would have been happy if the alternator wiring problem would have fixed her car's transmission problem and the only way was to repiar it. This repair took only 10 minutes to repair and cost would have been very small. But Amy never let me explain this because I ended the phone call because of the way she was talking to me.
