Old reliable

Not only is it a manual transmission, it has a special way to put it in reverse, so there’s two millenial anti-theft devices built in. Great gas mileage, not great horsepower tho. Super spacious for how small it looks.

Aveo

This car is a perfect around town car. Small and fits into parking easily. The mileage is great. It is easy to maintain. It is reliable. Repairs are generally inexpensive. I would recommend this car for a young person's first car.

My 13 year old Aveo has stood the test of time

I've been very diligent in maintaining my 4 door sedan and it runs well with minimal servicing over the years but I guess the devils is in the details when it has to sit out in the weather year in year out. Cosmetically it became an embarrassment. I finally had it completely repainted about a year ago. Then the door handle after years of baking in the NC sun fell off. Actually two have. And a piece of the plastic molding. Luckily I was able to find replacements which becomes more challenging with each passing year. This car is about my age (78) so we are both aging in about the same way. LOL. I don't intend to buy a new one because I don't know how much longer I will be driving but so far so good.
