My 2013 Chevy Volt is great. Now at 129K miles driving performance remains excellent and everything still works well and still looks smart. Maintenance efforts are minimal. Last April replaced all tires after 5 years. Still have the original bracks. The cabin heater could be stronger. A/C is a bit weak. Two major repairs engine water pump in Nov 2021 for $700. Nov 2023 $3K replaced punctured EV radiator. Battery down to 34 mile from 40.

Ahead of its time
Especially for a rather small car, the Volt drives very comfortably, even on long trips. Not so great in snow with or w/o snow tires. 35 miles of electric in summer, 28 in winter works for me. Repairs are expensive.

A real bargain -at least, so far
30-35 miles “free” every morning on super quiet electric. But, the tank holds enough for another 300 miles. Transition from electric to gas is seemless. Surprisingly comfortable on Interstate. Not so good in snow.
