Sorry I bought it...

I bought a 2011 Transit Connect XLT in 2011- brand new and less than 50 miles on it. It had all the recommended services on time and by premium auto repair shops. The van was never overloaded; never used to tow anything. It’s only use was to transport a few dogs for my grooming business. At 80,000 miles, the transmission started slipping: the van went to a transmission shop for service. At 89,312 miles, the transmission quit... left me on the side of the road... quoted $4,500 to repair... they also noted the torque converter was bad. I didn’t repair it... signed it over to the junkyard What a waste.... $25,000 down the drain... Meanwhile, my Subaru- which is a year older and has had much heavier driving- is at 167k and runs perfect with absolutely no major repairs!!! Never again!!!

Love My Baby Sprinter

I purchased my 2011 Ford Transit Connect XLT brand new. My sons, both car junkies working in the field, said I was crazy. I love my TC!! I train and show dogs professionally, and the vast majority of my colleagues drive big, expensive Sprinters... hence my van is the “Baby Sprinter!”’ I have all the room I need to easily and comfortably carry 4-5 dogs, grooming equipment and luggage for a weekend of dog shows; with the gas mileage of a small car! Admittedly- it is not the most comfortable vehicle to ride in! It was designed for smaller people, and people of size feel cramped. The suspension is a bit stiff and you are sitting on the road— but overall those are minor inconveniences compared to all the positives in my car!! I hope I will be able to drive it for another 9 years!!

Ford Transit Connect

We have two 2011 Ford Transit Connects, and one 2013 Ford Transit Connects. One has over 140,000 miles on it and the other two has just a little over 100,000 on them. I have had very little problems with them, just brakes, oil changes, and a motor support on one of them. Ford discontinued making this body style in 2013, which is regrettable because I believe this one of their best models with this European look. I know they were built in Turkey, carried the Ford name, and I really think Ford messed up when they discontinued making the Transit Connect with this body style.

Ford Transit Connect

We have 3 of these Ford Transit Vehicles, 2 of them are 2011, and one 2013. One has 138,000 miles on it, one has 107,000 on it and the other has 95,000 on it. We have had very little major repairs on these vehicles, and I was disappointed when Ford discontinued building this model in 2013. They still build the Transit Connect, but is more of a wagon instead of a van. The ones I have has that European look, and they are easily to work out of. We use them in our house cleaning service.

LOVE. LOVe LOVE

I have ~130k on it with no major repairs needed. I did have to replace brakes within a year, and the recommended tires actually only last ~ 2/3 the miles they are rated for. Best gas mileage for the cargo capacity hands down. I lived in it full time for ~ a year, even. This is not fast; is the new old vw bus. May not be good for passing on an incline, but it will get there. Dependable. All doors, hood and gas cap are secured with ignition key. Very secure and dependable. The newer models are not as tall.
