An extremely good vehicle

I absolutely have nothing but goodwill when it comes to this vehicle. I'm well pleased with almost all aspects of this model. If anyone asked, I would always recommend it. I've been very happy with it.

Not the best Genesis I've owned

While my 2024 GV70 Electrified is not the best Genesis vehicle I've owned, it is still very worth the money. I've come to expect damn-near perfection with Genesis vehicles, but this one has a few issues. First, the finishing details are lacking, such as glue runoff on the bottom of inside door panels. I never had that in the previous two Genesis cars I owned. The latest issue I've experienced, and I have brought it to the attention of my Genesis dealer, is that my temperature units setting infrequently changes on its own from Fahrenheit to Celsius on its own. The dealership had no answer for this. There is also a slight rattle in the front passenger door that cannot seem to get corrected. Lastly, as an EV owner, I wish the range on the GV70 was better. I cannot get anywhere close to 200 miles on a single charge, even if charging to 100%. Granted, I do tend to accelerate quickly and drive fast, but hopefully a new battery platform is in the works to improve range. Even with these "shortcomings", I would still recommend Genesis over other brands such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.

My 2024 Electrified GV70: Luxury EV Done Right

Just wanted to share some thoughts on my 2024 Genesis Electrified GV70 Premium after several months of ownership. This thing is an absolute joy to drive. The ride is smooth, quiet, and seriously comfortable—exactly what I hoped for in a luxury EV. The cabin feels roomy and well thought-out, and I love that Genesis didn’t go full touchscreen; having real buttons for basic controls is such a win. The heads-up display is super useful, and the ambient lighting gets compliments all the time (it really pops at night). I’ve taken it on a few longer trips—Portland to Seattle more than once, plus a few beach runs—and range anxiety hasn’t been an issue. In the summer, I’ve squeezed out up to 265 miles on a charge, which beats expectations. Charging is quick and easy to find along the way. The Boost button is pure fun—it turns the car into a rocket for those quick passes. That said, it’s not all perfect. The Genesis app is about 80% reliable and pretty slow sometimes. I wish I could remote start without going through it. The recall process through Genesis global support was a headache (took three days just to get a tow), though the dealership itself was top-notch once they had the car. Also, I still can’t figure out the remote parking assist—it’s not as intuitive as it should be. My only other nitpicks: the hands-on-wheel alerts feel unnecessary for such a polished assisted driving system, and the proximity trunk feature could be smarter (waiting through 5 beeps while holding heavy stuff isn’t ideal). Overall though, I absolutely love this SUV. It nails comfort, performance, and everyday usability with just a few tech rough spots to iron out. It’s quick, classy, and makes every trip feel relaxed and effortless.

I love the way the car handles and the interior is wonderful. My only complaint is that the Car Play can be fiddly and the units change from imperial to metric regularly.

Love how it drives. Has tech issues.

Terrific driving experience. Smooth, quiet, comfortable. Only complaint is occasional tech glitches. Car Play connects right away, slowly, or not at all. Temp gage will randomly show Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. Overall, really like the car.

Fun car to drive. Well made and luxurious

Good looking fun vehicle to drive. Two issues in my one and a half year ownership. 12 volt battery died and the Hyundai dealership too 3 weeks to replace . Second issue is back up camera died and it’s going on 10 days and i haven’t yet heard from the dealer. Service is terrible and even though the car is fun to drive, I may not buy or lease another Genesis again because of the poor service. The service stations are inundated with Hyundai and they cannot get to your car in time.

Lux car with limited range

Interior is fantastic, luxurious, comfortable, really beautiful, a little bit cramped though. Outside design classy. Everything works really well. We are 30,000 miles into the car and have had no issues whatsoever. Range of battery is limited. We are using it mostly for commuting so that's okay. But a range such as the Ioniq 5 would serve our needs better.

Too many noises and dealer do not have time or interest to look at

I have noises from rear axle at any speed over 50 from day one and dealer is too busy for test drive, also too much pilar wind noise and some electrical nuiances.

Lots of bugs.

Screen blacks out even after replacement, temp changes to Celsius, hatch back closes on you, back up camera thinks things are there and hits brakes, massage starts on it's own etc....
