Base model

Truck is just ok. Transmission seems to be constantly looking for a gear unless you are on a highway. Truck looks great and runs good. Interior is basic reverse camera is great. Hauls ok but gas mileage is greatly reduced.

Did love it

I did love my canyon, thousand miles I had problems with the def injections many times. Then high pressure fuel pump went out that cost $4,100 to replace. I’m done with this truck and putting it up for sale

Works for me.

Bought this truck used with 12,000 miles. Have had zero problems with it, it fits in the garage, and it’s as comfortable as la car, with all the bells and whistles. No complaints and would buy it again.

Downsized

I went from a Tahoe to the Canyon. I like the fuel efficiency and cargo space which makes up for a little lost comfort.i did not care for tonneau cover so put on a topper which gives me more height for the higher items

Reliable

Reliable. Very practical. Good old school vehicle, body on frame, traditional 4 wheel drive with low range. Plus you can actually put the it into true 2H. Sadly To many current trucks/suv are full time AWD, It still comes with an actual key.

Love it...period!

We love everything about this truck! GMC got it right with this one. We love the styling of the front end. Even though it's basically the same platform as the Chevy Colorado this truck has way more style.

A really fine truck

Boy did I get lucky. A regular customer comes in every year to trade for a new vehicle. He came in the night before and traded up to a 2017 GMC Canyon and traded his 2016 Canyon in. There is virtually no difference in these models, plus it hasn't even rolled up 5,000 miles yet! All the bells & whistles, and as clean as if it rolled off the show room floor minutes before. It was a used truck and I paid a used truck price, so nice. I have to add this important factor. I had been shopping everywhere, talking with sales people that didn't seem to care, but they wanted your money. The folks at Wiesner Automotive Group (GMC, Buick) treat you with respect, like they went to customer service school or something, even the custodian was supper friendly. I'd try there first, why waste time!

2016 Canyon SB 4x4

Always had a 3/4 ton truck. First mid for me. Pulls my bass boat no sweat. Good mileage and power. Needed to get extension mirrors cuz factory don't extend. Passenger seat is a bit low to the floor. Other than that. Good stuff?? PS. there are now three of these in my neighborhood since I got mine.
