ElantraN TCR - Max Performance per dollar!

Love the car! I initially wanted a Golf R with the DCT and AWD, but the price difference was about about 13K greater than the Hyundai Elantra N TCR edition which includes a DCT transmission, racing brakes, carbon fiber wing, Alcantara interior, and forged 19" wheels. It is also limited to 200 units in the USA. Handling and acceleration is amazing and the infotainment features are top notch. Looks pretty good as well. It is also the performance bargain of the 21st century. It gets a high of 35mpg highway on the interstate at speeds over 65mph. Mixed mostly city and some highway with occasional acceleration only drops the mpg to 25.5. Overall I highly recommend this car!

Awesome car. Only a few set backs

Everything is awesome about how the car drives. Wheel hop is quite violent so maybe some better motor mounts from factory seems like a must. A few creature comforts I wish it had that I will describe in the pros and cons

Best Bang for Buck

This car truly is one of the last pure manual FWD cars for sale today. The transmission, while not matching the best in the business (Honda, Porsche, etc.) it still feels very satisfying to use. While I miss my Genesis G70, the Elantra N still has sufficient power for everyday fun. I see myself keeping this car a minimum of 5 years, probably more like 7-10.

Elantra N TCR

Overall I love this car. I had a N previously and upgraded to the TCR. The interior upgrades in the TCR are really nice. Hyundai still need to fix the issue with the octane learning, or should I say not learning. Also the front bumper cover never stays snapped in on the corners, just like the regular N after the facelift, and the front lip is pretty weak and doesnt hold up to even the smallest amount of a tap.

Good car with one major issue

The N mode buttons do not save the settings you entered for more than a couple drives. Its very annoying to accidentally go into N standard instead of custom 1 or 2 while driving where I then have to set the button back to a custom mode. Everything else is great.

2026 Elantra N

The Elantra N is a super impressive car! It is a race car! After I broke in the engine properly, I took my N to an actual race track to see what this car could do. I was on the track with multi vehicles that I know cost twice and a couple 3 times the amount I paid for the N. The N did not disappoint at all! It handles in "N" mode so well and I had no problem getting notice by others because the of the speed and performance! I highly recommend the Elantra N to everyone that was a sensibly priced fun car. I literally look forward to the weekends to go drive my N!
