Great first ground up EV

Overall great, not the best at any category but does everything well. Took awhile to get battery preconditioning out, my EV route planner does not filter to DC fast chargers, AC charging is limited and failing at 48amps.

Amazing EV

This car convinced me never to buy another gas car ever again. It is quiet, fast, roomy, and the best car I've ever had. The charging experience is easy enough using non-tesla chargers. I wish the car had a little more range, but I've gotten through winter well enough traveling across the state.

Smart Car

I am very impressed with features of this car and am always surprised when I learn of a new feature or something that got ADDed in upgrade software or just something that I did not know. I am impressed by the power of an electric vehicle too.

Overall fun vehicle

Great vehicle fun to drive. But if you care about the resale avoid this at all cost. Car went from 48,000 to about 17,000$ in less then 2 years and about 42 000 miles. If the resale isn't a concern it's actually a great car.

Fantastic mpg. Car blends in well in traffic

Can get 60-75 mpg in common driving conditions. This car is nearly invisible in public. No one ever notices it, which is great for us. Bluetooth and apple CarPlay are always confused. Have to reset entire stereo every few hundred miles

Great car but Misleading mileage

Mileage estimate is quite concerning. Vehicle doesn't appear to get anywhere close to above 300 miles. This doesn't change with mode either unfortunately. Otherwise everything about the car is great, love the style.

Poor delivery service and high APR

I was charged with morethan market APR and dealership was not helpful with my review and delivery and communicated with dealership sales person but no luck and i hope next time car will come with usb c ports

Doesn’t charge to 300+

Like just about everything with vehicle except it only charged to 257 miles when it should be over 300 miles. Package protection tape whil shipping has left the paint with smudge marks on the bumpers.

Great styling, poor rear window design

The vehicle is large for an EV, the design is bold and appealing. The rear window design is horrible and makes it impossible to see out of during rain or snow (there is no wiper in the back). The lane assist tech. is great as well as the cruise control with adaptive assistance. Because of the large size and visibility issues, I do not entirely regret buying the car, I do wish I would have chosen the EV Kona instead. I believe the car will improve with future model years.

very good but not great

Ioniq5 Limited very good not great, the issues that i have with Ioniq5 are all software related Nav travel with EV charging is # one issue on route battery preconditioning other than that rear window.

It is a pretty good car but lacks something’s a car in this price range should have like a rear wiper, wash nozzles for rear camera, 4 way lumbar, extending thigh support, rear seat release latches, wireless Apple CarPlay, over the air updates, battery preconditioning on all trims not just AWD, and more comfortable seats.

Great car, but has a few issues

Generally love the styling and drive quality, but issues with some of the sensors and safety attributes are troubling. The car is generally fun to drive and battery range is solid, though it does fluctuate wildly based on driving conditions.

Don't pay a huge markup for the base trim

It is a very good car. The MSRP accurately represents it value. But do not pay a huge markup for the base trim. I paid a 10k markup for the SE model (AWD) and it is not worth it. No sunroof, no lane change camera, no automatic trunk door, no air vents in the rear, cheap materials in the interior. The performance, engine, ride etc are great. But overall it is great deal only if you pay MSRP for the base trim.

Nice Design but NOT a premium experience

Nice design and it rides nice but there are issues with the economy (only gets 60% of what is advertised), Lane Assist (can be jerky and pull you suddenly despite being in the middle of the lane) and getting the car into gear or staying in park

Ioniq 5 is a great car in terms of appearance and fast charging capability.

Ioniq 5 is a great car in terms of appearance and fast charging capability. However, the SE trim is overpriced for all the basic features. It doesn't have a power passenger seat no Homelink mirror which means cannot connect to a garage opener. No ventilation for the back seat. AC performance is far from satisfactory.

stunning design

While the car is beautifully designed, the storage space could be better thought out. I experiences a number of mechanical issues with this vehicle within a few days after purchasing it which is very disappointing and one tends to lose confidence in the brand. When one experiences warranty issues almost immediately, Hyundai should offer better support to their dealers by providing a rental vehicle to at least make up for the inconvenience. My dealership only has 2 loaner vehicles and its on a first come first served basis. Having to endure these inconveniences does not make for an overall compelling argument to purchase this vehicle. Hindsight is 20/20 because had I been aware of so many issues for a brand new car and the inconvenience factor when it comes to the difficulty of having easy access to a loaner vehicle, I would never have purchased this vehicle

Hyundai ionic 5 change in miles and 7500$ rebate

They need to tell people before they purchase this vehicle that the miles on a full charge are going to drop dramatically from what they tell you in less than a few charges of having the vehicle. In less than 3 weeks car went from 310+ miles to less than 250 miles on a full charge and this seems to happen to everybody. For a 60000$ vehicle I would think a person would want to know that before they purchase it and how you only get the rebate depending on how much money you owe on your federal taxes.

Strong appearance but falls short of range expectations

Great futuristic styling. Many standard features. But all the good is shadowed because of falsely advertised range milage. Build quality is above average. SE should come with leather as standard equipment.
