Car

No rear wiper. Twice in cold weather the vehicle started but would not go into gear. 12volt battery defective after 18 months. Turning radius too big, hard to park. Original tires too low milage. If you use cheap tires, where else did you cut corners?

I love my Ioniq

I love the look of the car. It's so futuristic and cute! I love hatchback because it makes it so easy to load up groceries, real estate signs, luggage, etc. I love the powerful acceleration. The seats are comfortable. I love the height of the car because it's easy to get out of. My biggest complaint is that the speed of the car is only visible behind my left hand when my hands are on the wheel and I have to lean to the right to see how fast I'm going. This actually really bothers me. It would be so easy to move it to the middle of the screen so you can see how fast you are going at all times. Please fix! The other item I don't love is the small middle console. It should be bigger and deeper. And there should be cupholders and usb chargers in the back seats. Other than that A+++

The vehicle is good, but delays with finance office.

The vehicle is fine, but even though I've paid off the vehicle fully and received the State of California Certificate of Title, I've called the Hyundai Financial Services Office twice requesting a Statement of Fact document that the DMV requires to fully register myself as owning the vehicle. I've yet to receive any such documents, leaving my vehicle in registration limbo. I'm not sure how to proceed.

Hyundai Lemon

I like the look and feel of the car, and the drive. I am extremely disappointed with the reliability of it, and responsiveness of the Hyundai dealership's customer service. The drive motor failed after 8 months and it took 6 weeks to get that fixed. We were out on a trip and the level 3 charger doesn't work. Had to wait 7 hours for it to charge at a level 2 station. Took it in to get it repaired. They said they repaired it and tested it, but I took it to a level 3 charger the night I got it back and it still wouldn't charge. They lied to me when they said they had tested it after the "fix." It is now back in for repairs. 3rd repair in 13 1/2 months is not good. No idea how long this repair will take (last one took 4 days.)

Great EV and everyday car!

I always tell people that I love my car and it's the best car I have ever owned, but with some caveats. That's any EV though. I do think that Hyundai could keep the older models more up to date and make some of the EV options easier for users, but overall, car is great.

Battery conditioning logic

Battery conditioning should be controllable by user and not linked to navigation menu. This allows user to condition when using android auto or apple carplay. Also when user is near the charging station and wants use below 20% of battery it should be allowed.

Good but flawed

The car is good in many ways, especially the drivetrain. However, the driver assistance features are bad, especially the lane centering, and some parts have poor materials and/or build quality.

Generally Excellent

The mileage is generally quite low. I hate the cursor. The Android Auto application often does not work correctly, and when I set something up, ot does not stay; I have to reset it every day.

When the cars works, it works very well. However, I have had a experienced a few unresolved problems with it and, based on a wide variety of data, the average reliability of this car is not what I ad hoped when I purchased it.

Wonderful EV, can't go wrong!

I followed Consumer Reports recommendation and purchased the Ioniq 5 SEL 2024 model and have been very, very pleased with it. My son, who has had multiple expensive cars over the years, recently drove my vehicle and remarked how impressed he was with it. I am very very satisfied with my car. It feels luxurious without an excessive price tag.

Love having physical buttons for operations! Nice balance of tech and physical interaction in the car. Needs rear wipers. Very big miss. Legal screen on startup every time - it has to stop! I am using my digital key why do I have to click a user agreement every start up?

Great overall car though it is a bit pricey

This car is fun to drive and operating costs are extremely low if you charge at home. Maintenance requirements are low. It has plenty of room inside and in my opinion looks good.
