Overall, really good, but a few details prevent it from being great!

I love the acceleration, handling and ride quality of the car. Comfort of seats is good. I like the instrumentation, although a few more hard buttons to directly access some controls would be useful. Sliding rear seats are awesome. Storage is weak; the frunk is a joke, the trunk is too shallow to hold much, and the dash and center console storage are poorly designed. Why no coin holder? The lack of rear window wiper is nearly criminal.

Very happy BUT …

Very happy with the car EXCEPT that there’s no rear wiper. Very difficult to see and at times feels dangerous. Did not realize this when we started signed our lease.

Car drives well, if it weren't for the I-Pedal disengaging every start

It is very unsafe to remember to step on brake pedal after going into reverse and back to drive.

Rattling lift gate

Overall, I love the car and the way it drives. The range in could weather is alert down but not a huge deal. The has been a rattling coming from the lift gate since I bought the car. I've taken it into service 2 times and they've "fixed" it both times. Good thing it's a lease and I'm giving the car back. For some season, every so often, every sensor/safety system will freak out and turn off and will come back the next day.

Best electric by far for the money.

I like the way the center console moves back and forth and the flat floor. The human engineering of the drivers panel is great. The Ioniq 5 does not have nearly as good of radio reception as my 2016 Avalon and the auto high beams does not work.

Great car with some flaws

Overall The ionic is an excellent car. Rides very smoothly and once I had a charging station installed at my home, very easy to charge. However, there are some flaws that I think would prevent me from purchasing the car again. The back window does not have a wiper and makes it very hard to see when it's raining. Not sure how they got away with not putting one in due to the angle of the back window. Also, the door handles when it snows often gets snow caught in the door handle and as a result sometimes the doors do not fully close during the winter. This can be a bit concerning when driving and you notice the door is not fully locked or closed.

Issue with entertainment system

If you play FM or any radio. Then you connect to Bluetooth, and try to switch to Bluetooth audio for playing stuff from your phone. It will not work. If you click Bluetooth audio on entertainment system it will go to FM radio.

great car but turning radius is terrible

I love most things about this car except for the turning radius which makes it very difficult to park in constrained quarters like parking garages. The multiple recalls due to ICCU also are a negative.

worth it!

What’s not to like? It looks good, fun ride, safe, zips around, and no more gas station visits. minor complaints that are not exclusive to this car include: bring back buttons for the love of god. not everything should be on the touch screen! i don’t want to have to hit 5 screens to turn my heated seats on. don’t love the hidden door handles and auto unlock feature works only part time.
