User interface software needs improvement. Driver profile should link to the driver’s key fob, not the icon on the screen. Also, head up Display horizontal angle adjustment doesn’t hold when setting user profile. Must reset each time car is driven.

My Ioniq 5 is the base model with extended range. I generally charge to 80% at home, and on economy mode am getting 4.0 mi/kw over the 13000+mi. driven. Performance is excellent, acceleration, road handling, . What I thought I'd miss was the engine sound and feel of shifting. ... Well actually I do, and it's GREAT! Also love the virtual "one foot" braking with regenerative feature . I'm half way through my 3yr lease, and would consider upgrading to the next level. I miss the rear wiper, and rear seat arm rest. Overall it has exceeded my expectations. Great job Hyundai! Geoffrey Mordue 😎 PS. One slight challenge. The "Bluelink" feature keeps notifying my dash display that I'm beyond scheduled service date. The techs have been trying to correct it, but still not resolved. Work in progress.

Fun to drive

My joy of driving and road trips is back. Everyone is comfortable. Leg room and head room was very inportant especially for our 6ft tall 16 yr old. They are happy in the back seat and that is a miracle. (except they do not have a decent cupholder). My two big concerns were 1- how the charging worked and 2 - how it would drive. Never thought it could be so easy and fast. Lots of get up and go and only 20 minutes to charge to 80%.

Continues tire, wheel balance, and alignment issues

I have spent over $2,000 in less than two years dealing with alignment issues, wheel balancing problems, and tire issues (the foam insert inside the tire even came loose). On top of that, my insurance premiums are higher than those for a gas-powered car. So far, I haven’t seen any savings—only more expenses and headaches.

Worst car i ever had

Simply got leased 2 years with great promotion and having left 5 more months to return so far. Its current mileage is less than 15k and it's sitting at dealership waiting new battery replacement since 5/27. Severe battery issue!! Nothing was explained and asked just to wait for the battery arrival which said back ordered without ETA. They gave me Sonata as a loaner car and i am paying gas out of my pocket for a month now which they are saying no reimbursement. The only 2 reasons i had to choose this ionic5 was just 2 years lease and free charging. Before that 2 year, battery is gone and you have to pay gas for the loaner car not knowing when your car will be ready. What else can be any good to get this car? Driving wise, it is quiet, smooth and fast. But that's all. Nothing you can expect other than that. I would not recommend and so disappointed with Hyundai.

There are only two issues I have with my Ioniq 1) rattling rough ride and 2) dark interior at night driving.

Lame support

Will simply never buy another Hyundai. The company emailed me about the upgrade to a Tesla charger. I went to the dealership to pick one up. Sorry, you missed the deadline.
