Nice car but the quoted range is a joke

I like this electric car a lot as far as styling handling an interior, but the quoted 303 mile range is only under optimal conditions, which the average driver is probably never going to achieve. I have not yet driven it in the summer but in the winter if you use the heater you can expect a minimum 20% decrease in range closer to 30 if you use the heater, wipers, radio, defrost…. I do not like taking long trips with it because of the unpredictability of the range. Or being so desperate for miles that you have to drive an unheated car

Love the Car

I’m in love with the car, the only down side I have my AC or heater stop working, they don’t have a car to let me borrow while they fix mine. Still waiting for my Car only have like 1345mi brand new should not have problems like this in new car. Please help the dealership fix this situations I still loving the Car just getting disappointed by having a brand new car with issues and not getting a replacement car while is been fix, please reach to me 719-602-9250

Would buy it again. no regrets. great style great performance. Comfortable interior. Handles very well. Great deal with the charging with electrify America. Will not go back to gasoline car for sure after this.

Charging issues / rear wiper missing

Love the car with two exceptions: no rear wiper and can’t charge it very easily. The charging issue is big - surprised and disappointed this is an issue at ALL charger I visit. Lack of Rear wiper also is difficult in the northeast US.

Love this car

Car is amazing. Styling is great interior is great and spacious. Definitely needs a rear windshield wiper and usb c other than that I really love the car. Matte paint looks so good everywhere I go people ask about the car

Great styling but poor mileage

I love the styling on this vehicle. The speed is fine and the road traction is excellent. The only problem is the distance on a charge. I drive a lot of turnpike and the miles per charge is much worse than I expected. Also, this car was more money than a number of comparable electric vehicles.

Great car but incomplete

Drives well, comfortable, and well-constructed. But does not have a rear widow wiper, needs bluetooth Apple CarPlay, on rough pavement has a lot of low-frequency road noise (for an electric car), needs fewer touch-screen controls and more push buttons or knobs and is missing some controls (such as for the heads up display).

Love the car. I usually drive my cars at least 100k miles. Too early to give the ioniq a 5 star rating. Vibration at speeds between 60 and 70 mph is a problem. Vibration has decreased as mileage approaches 3000 miles, but still persistents

Ioniq5

Amazing EV! Charging in California still has a lot to grow. Aside from not having Tesla’s charging network, Ioniq5 out beats Tesla in our opinion. Almost every thing is perfect on the Ioniq5 except for few very important aspects such as the windshield quality.

Excellent handling and acceleration. Easy charging. Look and feel very good. Front truck too small to be usable. Ride is good a little stiff. Middle trim level lacks some basic features like front seat position memory.

This or Model Y, Each Have Pros and Cons

I think this is a cool car and was drawn to the unique features like the Vehicle to Load charging. After purchasing, I am a bit disappointed but guess that I would have had different disappointments going with the Model Y. Its a very expensive car that still has some low-end finishes and quirks to work out. Beautiful tho!

A few issues, but once resolved, it is a great car.

WE took delivery of our new Ioniq 5 and realized that it had some issues with what we thought were unbalanced wheels. We returned it to the dealership and they "fixed" the problem. Yet, a week later, we realized the same issues were still there--Vibrations over 60 mph and a moderate pulling of the car in either direction so that we had to hold the steering wheel quite aggressively to keep in lane. We took it back to the dealership, who gave us a loaner and handled the situation reasonably well. In two days, they were able to resolve the problems and now we are quite happy with our new vehicle. But shame on Hyundai for delivering a car with these issues! Imagine how happy we would have been if from the start it was issue-free as it is now?!

Vehicle is honestly amazing but i hate that they removed the grill lights on the SEL and doesn't give an option for the moon roof. Also i hate that the car is so expensive but no wireless carplay and bluelink isn't compatible with iPhones

Great through first 5k. Charging is faster then normal but concerned about durability overall happy with purchase so far. Would like to see price comedown for later models as its over priced for what it is, but paying for new technology

The car design is awesome, however various details affect to get the 5 stars.

The shape and the line of the car, the range with a charge, the quiet engine, and the quality of the paint it's great, however there is small details and some safety issues that affect the overall of the Ioniq 5. It's hard to say if I choose to get one more Ioniq 5, probably the 6 expecting better quality and an improved overall.

A good electric car that does not sacrifice features to be electric

Good charging capabilities, reasonable range, and distinctive styling. I LOVE the fact that it HAS BUTTONS, which is a HUGE ADVANTAGE over its primary competitor. (I feel that sticking a tablet on a basic car is dumb design.) The cabin is very comfortable both forward and back, for both larger and smaller people. It falls down on the steering wheel blocking some elements of the dashboard, lack of divider between driver and passenger allowing items to roll into pedals, and does not fully utilize the HUD for surrounding traffic the way its primary competitor does (only shows such traffic on highways).

Great car with some minor flaws.

I was looking for a 4WD battery electric vehicle. The main candidates were: Tesla Model Y, VW ID.4, Kia EV6. I chose the Ioniq 5 for it's modern design, spacious interior, driving characteristics, availability, and price. I felt that the Ioniq 5 is a fresh design with many unique features such as the 800 volt battery system, the user selectable 4WD, the V2L capability and the multiple driving modes. Having said that, the car does have some flaws. The major flaw seems to be in the 12 volt system that has been a problem with my specific vehicle (12V battery drains when car isn't driven for 2-3 days). There are many small user interface flaws that should be addressed such as fussy regen braking settings, automated lane keeping and cruise control controls are confusing. But overall, I am satisfied with the vehicle and love the performance and driving experience.

Has a Modern Feel

Overall I am glad I bought this EV. It feels very modern inside, much more so than the RAV-4. However, the long LED screen means some controls are hard to reach. Also, the radio volume is a bit disappointing.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5

Great car, fun to drive and love the features that come with the car. We waited over 6 hours at the dealership which was not ideal for us. Also we were told we would get the all weather mats for waiting at the dealership for over 6 hours since they made a mistake and had to go to another dealership to get our car. We still have not received the all weather mats.
